What are your kids doing this summer? Kids across the US forget some of the skills and knowledge that they learn over summer vacation, but parents and guardians can take steps toward keeping their students on track. NOTE: I quote some figures for "upper class, middle class, and lower class" incomes and incorrectly call it a measure of socioeconomic status. Socioeconomic status is much more nuanced since it also factors in race, education level, etc etc. Of course, there are correlations between income level and things like education level, but the studies that I talk about in this section strictly take income level into account--not socioeconomic status. So, overall, income level correlated to more or less loss in summer slide.
