Uriah plays a minor role in a major story. This story has it all; scandal, sex, cover-up, betrayal, and murder. Through it all, Uriah uses his brief appearance as a victim to show us what a true hero looks like. The "It Sucks to be U" series features minor biblical characters who teach major lessons. Because it does." Their relief was immediate. They were feeling the pressure of being strong for everyone else. Even though they have strong faith, this event had rocked it. We have been talking about Emotional Distancing. In most spiritual communities and churches, the distance between the stage and the first row of chairs is too great. There is too much attention given to the pastors and "professional christians". You have a story. You have impact. Whether it is inside your home with your family, the people you work with, the people who work for you, the kids you teach, your neighbors etc etc.  Your. Life. Matters.  My hope is to use the resources of the iLAND to help you in your story.
