The Idiom Podcast #5 at AWP
This podcast took place at AWP in Boston. Guest hosting with Mark Brunetti were some of the graduates of the William Paterson MFA creative writing program, Bobby Fischer, Tim O'Donnell, and Charlie Riccardelli. We list off some of the magazines and books and publishing companies we liked. We discuss what drives us to buy a book by an author we never read and the literary figures we would kiss. We end it with a titilating reading of The Ring Muscle a ceremonial piece of erotic fiction that gets read every year in the after hours of the conference....unfortunately I decided to shake my ipad as the file was normalizing and we lost part of it. Check out the idiom blog, www.theidiommag.wordpress.com to see links to the different things we mention in the podcast.

The Idiom Podcast #1 with Ink
Ink draws from his experiences in central New Jersey, where he can be found hugging perfect-bound and loose leaves alike as if they are not paper-cut-capable. His poetry appears sporadically in print and online journals as bait with which to garner readership for his 4 chapbooks and first formal collection, "Miserable with Fire" (2011). Ink is also one of six poets in the modern haiku/senryu collection, "5, 7, then 5…." He has a fiendish addiction to all things caffeinated and a thorough knowledge of how to waste time. Ink’s next book, "Death Loves a Drinking Game," is due out in 2013 via Piscataway House Publishing as part of their Duel Book series. For more, check out www.inksblot.com. Our first ever podcast is with Ink a regular to The Idiom Magazine and the local New Jersey poetry scene. We talk about the importance of line breaks and if there's any meaning behind the number of lines used in stanzas in some of his pieces. Mark and Keith speculate the meaning behind some of Ink's poems and he is there to reveal the truth. Visit http://www.theidiommag.com/Podcast%20websites/Inkpod.html to see the poems we talk about in this podcast with Ink and to check out more of our site...
