On the first episode of The Human Condition, I give a (somewhat) brief overview of my two manic episodes. Alongside a long time friend, who was witness to both, we discuss and give our perspectives on what we think they mean, what caused them, and what we can learn from them. This is the first episode in a series that will analyze these two experiences and how they relate to psychology and mental health, spirituality, and religion. Subsequent episodes will dig much deeper into the topics and themes we discuss here, as well as many others that have yet to be brought up. The purpose of this podcast is to remove the stigma attached to discussing our mental health, as well as (hopefully) reaching people who may be struggling with similar issues and reminding them that they are not alone.
