Improvement vs. innovation. Improvement is usually incrementally adding new features. Innovation can turn an industry on it’s head because of being so unique and relevant to the consumer. Several years ago, I heard a real estate investor/guru make a statement about sellers, time and circumstance. I adapted and changed his statement a little. I now say, “all things change with time and circumstance”. Well, after eighteen months and changing circumstances….things have indeed changed. As you well know, a lot has happened in the last eighteen months. November of 2019, I left IEI/The Texas Home and Garden Shows. Then early in 2020 COVID hit and live events went away. Things were tough in the show industry. Several businesses ceased to exist. At the time of this recording, June 2021, we’re halfway into 2021 and things are loosening up. Live events are beginning to take place and people are ready to attend them. Which leads me to the following press release that I want you to know about: Show Technology Productions Launches New Home & Garden Shows in Fort Worth & Dallas, Texas Show Technology Productions, one of the premier producers of Consumer Home & Garden and Christmas Showcase events, has launched a new series of Home & Garden Shows in both Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas. The series will kick off this Fall August 13-15th at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth and will continue into 2022 with spring and fall events occurring thereafter annually in both markets. The Dallas shows will take place at Dallas Market Hall. The addition of the Fort Worth spring and fall shows as well as a spring and fall show in Dallas at the Dallas Market Hall brings the Show Technology portfolio to 22 shows in 16 markets, twelve of these shows take place in Texas! “As the largest producer of consumer Home & Garden events in Texas, the Fort Worth and Dallas markets were a logical expansion of our current footprint,” said Pam Rogers, Vice-President of Strategic Planning for Show Technology Productions. “As a Texas-based company we are thrilled to add these robust and growing markets to our already considerable Texas portfolio.” Show Technology currently operates nine other home & garden events in Texas including Corpus Christi, El Paso, Frisco, Allen, and Midland, as well as the largest Christmas event in the state, which is held in San Antonio, Texas. Additional show markets include Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Canada. FALL EVENTS COMING UP NEAR YOU IN TEXAS Fort Worth Home & Garden Show **Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum** August 13-15, 2021 Corpus Christi Fall Home and Garden Show *American Bank Center * September 10-12, 2021 Collin County Fall Home and Garden Show *Allen Event Center * September 17-19, 2021 El Paso Fall Home and Garden Show *El Paso Convention Center * October 1-3, 2021 Not only are live events and home and garden shows back….so am I. Circumstances have allowed me to be back in the home and garden show industry. Starting this month, June 2021, I’ll be selling exhibit space for Show Technology. Mostly, I’ll be selling the Dallas Home and Garden Show. However, I will be able to sell Fort Worth and the other shows that Show Technology produces. Is it time for you to sell your home improvement products and services in live events again? If yes, let me know. I’ll be glad to tell you more about the Dallas show and more. Call me at 972-771-7899 or send an email to [email protected] Thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. I look forward to talking with you soon.

Welcome to today’s episode where I talk about “Live Events, Trade Shows and the future”. I’m recorded this episode on November 3, 2020. Since the Covid disruption began in March, it’s been 232 days or seven months and 18 days. The good news: we only have fifty nine days, or one month and twenty nine days, until January 1, 2021. What’s your prediction for 2021? Will it be better than 2020? What new innovations will we see? What will live events like trade shows, home and garden shows, fairs and more look like? Last week I attended a local trade show to see some people I knew and just check out the event. Since it was a trade show, it was closed to the public. Often, a trade show will not have the attendance volume as a consumer event, such as a home and garden show. Sure enough, at the time I was there, the attendance was very light. However, one of the people I went to see was able to make some good contacts.

Welcome to today’s episode where I talk about “Covid, Homeowners and Their DIY Projects” and how that’s working out for the future. This episode was recorded on October 27, 2020. Since the Covid disruption began in March, it’s been 226 days or seven months and 12 days. The good news: we only have sixty six days, or two months and five days, until January 1, 2021. Do we start fresh or will it be a continuation of this crazy mess? What do you think? During the past seven months, I’ve heard there were more DIY projects because of having to stay home. When digging deeper into the information, it appears it was only a spike in a declining trend.

Welcome to today’s episode where I’m talking about “Lights. Camera. Podcast!’. Wait! I thought we were going to talk about podcasting. How’s that work with lights and a camera? Episode 47 I talked about using video in your business to help get more leads, communicate with your prospects, and develop trust with your viewers. Here’s a a brief recap. The problem you’re facing: You already know this but, it’s getting more difficult to capture your prospects and client’s attention…and will get worse as time goes on It’s a fact that your prospects/clients are bombarded with information from: advertising messages social media family activities The bottom line….business is becoming more complicated with every passing day. And, on top of what I’ve mentioned, we're dealing with the COVID thing. You need something that will help you cut through the clutter of information, help you build trust with your prospects/clients and that has the potential to elevate your company as the guide to help your clients become the hero to their clients/prospects I want to suggest a possible solution for you. Not only recording and posting videos but recording audio podcasts.
