EP 019 - Navaid Aziz on Khabib vs Mcgregor
We're back with a bang! Sh Navaid Aziz joins Ibrahim to unpack UFC 229 between Khabib and Mcgregor - specifically how the Muslim community reacted to it, and discussing the finer points of discussion. For example: Is MMA haram? If so, is it haram for everyone or could there be exceptions? Was this fight really between Eman and Kufr? Was it natural for an average Muslim to be happy with Khabib's victory? Sh Navaid had some really surprising takes. We also talked about marijuana, as Canada is nine days away from legalization. We talked about the impact of usage and how hard we expect it will hit the Muslim community. Sh Navaid gave some important advise to parents on how to navigate the upcoming challenges it represents.
