Mitch is an Engineer turned Artist who has turned his hand to making intricate sculptures of such esoterica as dragonflies, fairies and airships. His journey into creativity hasn't been a straightforward one. He's overcome some hurdles to get where he is but now, nestled in his Cornish home he seems to have re-found his mojo and is creating some beautiful art. This episode had a couple of audio issues with the echo of an artists studio, internet glitches and I admit, operator error... but we got through it and found the story behind Mitch's art. Enjoy!

In this episode (which is not un-troubled by a dog and a telephone) we speak about how she uses the clays that she finds along Dorset's Jurassic Coast to create functional pieces as well as more artistic statements on the way people interact with their environment.

"I'm influenced by decay in surfaces. Rusting metal, peeling paints, peeling wallpaper, cracking plaster, that kind of aesthetic"
Suzette Knight is a Ceramicist with a unique style. She is influenced by decay, by peeling wallpaper and falling-down buildings. Her work is textured and stressed to give it a used, worn out feeling. Lisa Davies is a Bubbleologist, which in short is someone who makes bubbles for entertainment or therapy. In this interview it was genuinely fascinating to speak with Lisa about how this simple art has taken her around the world, but that her ambition is far closer to home.
