In today's episode I got a chance to sit down with my friend Morgan to hear his story (for the first time!) of becoming a believer in Jesus from atheism, then agnosticism, and ultimately what he calls a "slow boil" to full faith in Christ. He takes time to describe the hopelessness he experienced in believing you have to cultivate strength and answers for the ups and downs of life on your own. Morgan also shares the sweet stories of how God used his heart for nurturing children and teens in his community to show supernatural redemption and love. Ultimately, we get to hear a story of hope, deep abiding peace, and how God fulfilled needs that Morgan, and most of us, spent a good chunk of the first part of his life trying to satiate.

More than that they share their motivations and purpose- driven decisions as they fell in love and started a family. To finish out our first ever series we sat down to talk about SUSTAINING FRIENDSHIPS. Melissa shares with us her experience in what goes into maintaining friendships for decades, challenges she's face, and the joys that long- term friendships yield. Not two friendships are the same, but the heart for the people in our lives can be a common thread to motivate us to work on the relationships that come into our lives and feel like "lifers".

With a husband, 4 kids, 2 businesses, and a farm Camille may sound like the "Boss Babe" stereotype, but she will be the first to tell you that isn't the case. She is a honest, thoughtful, and creative woman just finding ways to be her best self. She talks about the struggles, but spends more time sharing steps that WORK for getting her time, joy, and peace.

Stephanie is a mother, but in more ways than you may assume. Stephanie's second oldest daughter, Blake, was lost to a genetic disease at 10 months old... Stephanie didn't birth her fourth daughter, Everly... And she and her husband have taken on the responsibility as foster parents for children who need the love and safety they provide.
In this episode we talk about what it looks like to walk through the worst, how we can better walk alongside those grieving, and how even after tragedy there is good to do and ways to move forward.
Throughout the episode Stephanie also shares resources and ways we can help in the fight to cure SMA, support foster kids/ parents, and some good information for anyone interested helping or looking into becoming foster parents.

We are back for the second half of my conversation with Tong. In this episode we talk in depth about how to go about moving along or journey and walking with others in theirs with grace and with relationship as the priority over being "right" or being better than. It is a moving and motivating conversation in the realm of being better to those we love! With the world reopening again we are all having to get back into the habit of keeping our calendars in check. This week family time, work, and fun are all topics we talk about making time for. "Busy" isn't the goal, but intentional management in order to spend quality time in whatever we feel is worthy of the precious time we have.

In this weeks episode Tong talks about healing, learning, and a new approach living to community. If you have been hurt by people you were in community with and need hope, we hope this conversation bring hope and a new perspective. He takes us into his understanding of how our expectations of others, especially leaders, and the disappointment that comes with being in human relationships can be detrimental to the transformation Jesus wants for us.
