McCormick. Cheryl is the Executive Director for the American Cetacean Society, where she is responsible for developing and managing education, research, and conservation programs aimed at protecting whales, dolphins, porpoises, and the habitats upon which they depend. In this capacity, she is involved in international policies governing commercial whaling, regional maritime policy development to reduce whales/vessel interactions within shipping lanes, and working with national and international NGO’s to address cetacean welfare, and the interaction between anthropogenic influences and environmental dynamics on cetacean conservation and population viability.

Tonight, Melissa and special guest co-Host Chris Buntenbah, talk Great White Sharks with Jim Covel of the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey Bay California. The Monterey Bay Aquarium has the distinction of being the "worlds only" facility capable of not only keeping a healthy Great White Shark in captivity, but nursing injured Great Whites back to health and releasing them back into the ocean.Tune in tonight and hear all about their Great White research program which includes the tagging and tracking of these mysterious animal.When you have knowledge, fear is replaced with understanding and respect.
