Romans 8: 5-8

5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

SHOW NOTES

Jon's Advertises on facebook.

The people who are in charge of speech these days, hold a materialistic worldview not a spiritual worldview.

Jon is unhappy with feeding this world view.

Your personal facebook account can affect your business facebook account.

Facebook's customer service fails to serve Jon as a customer.

Jon thinks he got canceled for telling someone that they have a nice smile.

Justice stands on its own.

Justice does not need a modifier (Environmental, Social).

Adding a modifier to Justice takes its power away.

Have facebook Google and twitter become the modern day memory hole?

1984 and A Brave New World.

It seems like the world had won and it was no longer acceptable to judge the actions of others for anything and everything is acceptable.

But now, because we lack a standard.

Now we have victims.

Now we have the oppressed and the oppressors.

Johnny Carson could not survive in today's society.

Even the Office would be pushing the limits today.

Critical theory

Laws are inherently flawed because there is injustice because people with power can avoid justice.

So because the Laws were inequitable,

Now we need to fix the imbalance by tipping the scales.

However, is there a endgame? Is critical theory working towards a more harmonious society or simply a machine to endlessly tear down whoever holds the power, perpetuating victimhood.

Relativism and postmodernism have torn down our foundations and removed all of the standards, now we are left trying to create a our own standard. Just like Adam and Eve.

The world is desperately searching for a standard.

God's perfect law is the standard and we have ALL failed to measure up. God alone has the right to apply justice. However, instead, he has offered forgiveness through a relationship with his son Jesus Christ.

All of the answers can be found in the Bible. We are called to love one another. We are called to help those in need. We all can do better.

Christians can have an impact on how the world sees the god.

We are obliged to not feed our sinful nature.

The word obliged can sound negative but we are given such a wonderful gift we are obliged to share that gift with others.

In the right perspective the "obligation" is the most wonderful and exciting thing you can do.

We have been unchained, live in freedom!

The faithful will be rewarded.

The rose analogy - The girl who accepted roses throughout the day for all of the ways that she honored god. and at the end of the day she would imagine the beautiful bouquet of roses, and then she offered them to God.

Say to God, "I believe you. I trust you. The hardships that come my way, I will not flinch in the face of them. I will trust you. Help me. Give me the strength."

David seemed manic.
