Becoming a Catalyst of INSPIRATION for Women’s Leadership with Michelle Gardiner of The Aspire Series.
Join me in welcoming Michelle Gardiner (https://www.instagram.com/michelle_gardiner_au/?hl=en) of The Aspire Series (https://www.instagram.com/theaspireseries/?hl=en)
Michelle Gardiner is the Founder and Director of The Aspire Series, including Aspire Société, the Aspire Summit and 55 FACES. These constitute a movement for women who are dedicated to pioneering social change and impact as well as a methodology in facilitating change work. In this episode we discussed the current landscape in the women’s leadership and empowerment community globally. With her first summit (held in Bali, Indonesia) under her belt, I asked what she felt the common golden thread was with the women and what is the next story she wants written for women? With close to 300 women featured through 55 Faces, and including four books from six continents, Michelle has curated an incredible platform.
It is Michelle’s intention in creating The Aspire Series, that as women, we can become more connected and heart centered leaders, and use one another to become the best that we can be, for ourselves and the future women who model themselves after us. From this place, we can truly influence change and shift the dynamic of both our local communities and global society.
Michelle spent over fifteen years working in the Australian Child Protection and community sectors, supporting children, young people and families through some of their most vulnerable life experiences. Through hearing many life stories, Michelle became most passionate about raising the aspirations of women, which has greatly inspired her work with The Aspire Series.
Michelle holds a Bachelors of Social and Community Welfare, Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Science (Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy), she is a Yoga Teacher (500 hours - Moksha Yoga Academy), a Certified Life Coach, is undertaking her Masters in Narrative Therapy and Community Work, and has a background in leadership and empowerment program facilitation and trauma informed practice. Michelle also carries significant Non-For-Profit Board Member experience.

Join Marni @marnisuureynolds of @thegoldenthreadpodcast along with Casey of @shrinkbigger in this engaging conversation around Integrative Approaches to Healing in the Traditional and Ancient Ways. This is a very intimate conversation about our own healing journey’s, the power of sacred and professional mentorship and the importance of integrative approaches to healing, trauma informed care and the mystical. Casey @shrinkbigger is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Master Certified Coach and Licensed Hypnotherapist, MS, LMFT, MCC, CCHt and lives in Seattle, Washington (USA).
“Healing has always come naturally to me, but during this time I was often tangled in the ‘shadow’ aspect of rescuing others. I was the wounded healer. The pervasive shadow side of my helping nature revealed itself when someone close to me suffered and struggled – a fragmentation of Self. As a result, my unconscious reaction was to consume myself with “rescuing” their fragmented parts. Because unconsciously my identity was wrapped into them being who I needed them to be for me. In doing so, I lost these sacred parts of myself, as well as someone I truly loved. During this period of loss, I had abandoned myself and was in need of soul guidance. And so, I devoted myself deeply to years of profound inner healing work. After immersing myself in my own therapy and healing, I became aware of myself and my relational patterns. The key was understanding my unconscious patterns and how incongruent I had become to my own values, and therefore to my true Self. The solution instead was to consciously create my aligned Self, living in accordance with my highest values – my wholeness.
Inside that healing container and rediscovery of Self, I told my beautiful healer of my desire to help others create healing through their own traumas. I will never forget her loving response. She simply said, “I’ve just been waiting for you to say that.” Now I had the code to healing and transformation: conscious awareness paired with the conscious right action. Transformation was initiated. The path towards radical progress and growth was illuminated. I identified the equation to heal myself and others.”
“Spirituality is a word often linked with religion. However, in my practice Spiritual Psychology bridges science and spirit. For me, spirituality is about Conscious relationships. The relationship with Self, others, Creator, Earth, to the future, to the past, and to our harmony with all these things NOW.
Restructuring non-productive patterns to make radical transformations through conscious awakening. Through my multidisciplinary approach, I believe that true growth is unique to each soul. I work to guide clients towards cultivating a deep connection with their sacred inner wisdom so they may lead an awakened, meaningful life. With a decade of experience as a therapist and healer I’ve guided thousands of people through radical transformation and change.” Clinically trained, Mystically guided

Join me @marnisuureynolds as I welcome a special guest and colleague, Dr. Paula Seymour Holanchock, an Assistant Professor of Business Administration; Social Entrepreneurship Program Director at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. Paula and I met at the beginning of our Phd journey's at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies). Her topic is fascinating, Mary Magdalene. Paula earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and has a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Women, Gender, Spirituality, and Social Justice. Paula also has a Ph.D. in Religion with a concentration in Women’s
Spirituality. Her research interests explore:
• Women, gender, spirituality
• Gender-based violence in the workplace
• Subjective and Objective Knowledge, Other Ways of Knowing
• Conscious-based leadership and self-awareness
• Social Impact: social and environmental justice
• Essential mindsets of the circular leader
• Conscious inclusion and the responsible leader
• Strategies to operate with responsible and sustainable business practices that benefit people and the planet
Her dissertation is titled: Mary Magdalene, Women, Sex, and Sin: From Wrath to Spiritual Realization.
We will discuss the following.
How do the Roman Catholic Church and Christianity, in general, define sexual sin for women? Can the patriarchal religious conventions of this understanding of female sexuality be overcome through a path of spiritual realization as taught and experienced by Mary Magdalene? Methodologies helped me bridge the subjective and objective ways of knowing, spirituality, and science, using intuitive inquiry and spiritual feminist hermeneutics.

Welcome to this creative episode with Marni and guest Felicia “Onyi Love” Richards (aka Onyi) as we discuss the journey of self through sound, the creation of what is means to be a musician/healer/sound alchemist and priestess. More importantly the importance of Healing the Healers, Music as Medicine, and Reverence as a Global Cure.
Onyi is a multi-disciplinary creative, multi-modality healer, priestess and teacher dedicated to guiding people through their journey of awareness, healing and transformation through her brand ONYI LOVE.
In 2022 she launched HEAL the HEALERS, an initiative to support those who serve, lead, create for and inspire the collective.
In October 2023 she released her sophomore album FORÍBALẸ̀, a body of work connected to a larger vision of encouraging people to have reverence for themselves, others, and the Earth. Onyi is a practitioner of Ifa, the ancestral system of the Yoruba people of West Africa. Within this tradition, she is an Iya (initiated priestess of) Ọṣun and Ọbatala. She is a member of Ile Orunmila Afedefeyo, an LA-based Ifa community led by Awo Falokun Faṣegun and Iya Fayomi Ọṣundoyin Egbeyemi. Onyi honors and enjoys investigating the spectrum of ways human beings navigate and understand our existence and our connection to and as the divine. To her, spirituality is the spectrum of all of it–from the mundane to the magical; the simple to the complex; the subtle to the over. And all of it is beautiful and necessary.

Join host @marnisuureynolds of @thegoldenthreadpodcast as she welcome Trevor Spring once again to the program. Today we are going to get an update on his thoughts about Men's and Youth Men's Healing, the shifts or consistency in who is showing up and why and why he is focusing on the younger population with Sonz Youth. "Supporting and Celebrating the transition from boyhood to manhood." Listen to this inspiring episode and thank you again Trevor for coming onto the program!
Hi I'm Trevor Spring. My focus is Mentoring. For Men and Young Men. At Sonz Youth, the program I founded and continue to run, we continue to see that giving men the opportunity to mentor younger men and boys is an imperative part of the growth cycle of a man. It's an honor and pleasure to do this work alongside so many wonderful men. Today I'll share a bit about myself.
"Mentoring youth has been the main focus of my personal and professional life for over 6 years now. As I've deepened into this role over the years, and committed more to supporting young men, the experience has brought me further into my own development as a maturing adult man. What I call "the mentorship cycle" truly holds magic and I'm happy to say that it has improved me as a father, a partner, a leader and in my relationship to myself. It is very clear to me that parents are not meant to be everything for their children. Youth need a variety of positive influences. We can't do it all ourselves!! That's why I'm so passionate about the Sonz Youth Community. It truly is a safe haven where everyone can be accepted for exactly who and how they are. It's a place for parents to reflect and evolve, a place for young men to bring the inevitable growth challenges and choices they'll face as they become a man. It's everything I would have loved as a boy.
As a young man I experienced having a lot of peers, coaches and teachers around, but looking back I rarely felt seen or met by anyone who could be sincerely present with me and provide the focused support and healthy challenge that I longed for. Being a youth where everything looks ok on the surface can be extremely lonely, isolating and disorienting.
Looking back, I didn't know what I was missing but I was constantly missing the true presence from adults that I craved.
After nearly 20 years as a holistic fitness coach for adults, youth and companies, I stepped into men's work roughly 10 years ago...and eventually into facilitation. For the last six years I have run the Oahu chapter of Boys to Men Mentoring Hawaii as well as guided multiple Adventure and Rites of Passage weekends. My focus is now turned fully toward the Sonz Youth Program and our opportunities and challenges here since 2020.
I reside in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and am a 45 year old father of four; two children of my own and two step children. I am married and in a growth-oriented partnership that both challenges and supports me to grow as a person. I love surfing, mountain expeditions, surf skating, circling up, playing music around the fire with my friends and our kids, and volunteering on friend's farms.
The Sonz Youth Program is a combination of all of my personal and professional experiences. I'm so excited for you to join the community and hope to connect with you soon."
