On this episode, join Garrett and Lauren as they traverse the jaw-dropping fifth episode of The Golden Girls (for which Bea Arthur was nominated for her Emmy for this season), “The Triangle” - When Sophia falls under the weather, Dorothy hits it off with her new doctor, Elliot Clayton, who’s new to Miami (and, as we soon fine out, single!!!) and offers to show him around the town. Then, after they’ve been dating for a week, he puts the moves on Blanche! After Rose painstakingly convinces Blanche to tell Dorothy the truth about what happened, Dorothy refuses to believe her and brushes her accusations off as mere jealousy. Blanche, offended that her best friend would think such a thing, makes the difficult decision to evict Dorothy! A flabbergasted Rose decides that her only hope to save their friendship is to seduce Elliot herself to prove to Dorothy that he really is as low as Blanche proclaims. Only once Dorothy overhears Elliot himself confessing to his crime does she realize what a fool she’s been. Luckily, Blanche is quick to accept her apology and all is well. Meanwhile, Sophia laments about what her life could’ve been if hadn’t been for her childhood friend-turned-rival, Mama Celeste.
