I could not disagree with your take on Jaxson Dart. First and foremost it wasn’t a political rally! It was a commencement speak at a NY college. DJT is the sitting president of the US. It should not be a political stance to introduce the sitting president at a commencement ceremony. Carter and unfortunately you, are making this political. If anyone is at fault it’s Carter.

Edit: came back a month later to drop the rating down. There is always an editing mistake in this podcast. Double playing ads, skipping pieces of audio, replaying segments. Please fix it. Editing is just done without care It feels like every other show there is an editing/mixing mistake. You come back from commercial and the show repeats with the previous segment. This has happened in multiple episodes. I love the show, but I might have to unsubscribe. As an example of the problem, This week we hear about the Eagles being set up to be a bust, and then are supposed to hear about D-line draft prospects after the break, but instead come back from commercial hearing about how the eagles are set up to be a bust. Extremely frustrating

What no AFC North review on 5/11 episode? This duo always seems to be in a big hurry. Slow down get the content out. A couple extra minutes would be fine.

Great content but Geoff — slow down! You “eat” your words all the time and it’s hard to understand what you’re saying.

Geoff brings a great player perspective but Marty is the weak link. He either can’t or won’t be critical of people he has worked with during his career. I understand that he is probably still friends with many former colleagues BUT you are in media and your job is to be critical. Listening to Marty gives the impression that the Carolina Panthers and anyone who came out of the organization (front office, coaches, or players) are at the top of their professions with the accolades to back it up. Grow a backbone and tell us why you really think. Until this happens, GM shuffle will continue to be a shell of the Mike Lombardi days. My recommendation, find new GM co-host that is willing to be critical of front office decisions instead of drinking the kool-aid.

Honestly not worth a listen. Don’t waste your time… seriously sad because this used to be my favorite podcast I would listen to every show, sometimes more than once because Lombardi would actually teach the listeners and provide insight. Now it’s just another joke. TERRIBLE AND TRAGIC

Geoff and Marty are a great pair. Geoff’s description of Nick Sirriani’s purpose on the sideline had me laughing so hard I almost had to pull over. Keep up the good work, gentlemen.

I can’t wait for each Monday and Wednesday for these two to break down some ball. Schwartz and Hurney go well together, I like the perspectives of a player and a GM on the pod. I would listen to a third episode a week for sure.

Not as good without Lombardi there. Dominik was good as house GM. However, not feeling it with Hurney. Yet, I listen every week so….

I’ve listened to the GM shuffle since the Tate Frazier and Lombo days, Geoff Schwartz is annoying and harps on inconsequential issues way too much, Hurney is vanilla and never has a strong lean either way. Hurney thinks it a good idea that DaBoll lost his job but Joe ‘lame’ Schoen is retained because he drafted Jaxon Dart - helllllloo Hurney, daBoll was pounding the table for dart and is the reason he was drafted at all !

Used to be great with Lombo. Can hardly listen anymore. The new player “host” doesn’t give way for the GMs opinion enough.

Used to be a show from the GM perspective. Now it’s players perspective and it sounds like every other podcast. Shows been ruined.

This used to be the first podcast id listen to. Always fresh takes, diff perspectives and lets you get in the head of the front office/gm. With Lombardi gone and replacing him with a mediocre former player with no front office experience. Now it is just the same garbage that we hear from every other talking head. Dont waste your time. Shame used to be top tier

The podcast is called GM shuffle - it was great with Lombardi and Mark Dominick was really strong too even if he had a different style. Geoff Schwartz is a bust as a host - he’s not a GM or any type of exec, he’s a former player, and doesn’t give any of the insights that made this podcast unique from every other ex player pundit out there. Find us another ex GM!

Sorry fellas. I hung on after Lombardi but now it’s all speculation and recaps of news we got days ago. I’ll be hoping Belichick’s girlfriend blows up UNC and Mike is back someday soon.

No inside info. No rumors. Lombardi’s departure has transformed The GM Shuffle from must listen pod into meaningless drivel. Afraid to shoot straight with the listener and alienate “inside sources” within teams. This show has morphed into an echo chamber of 3 day old takes.

The point of this podcast is supposed to give us insight on how General Managers think and operate in an NFL franchise. When Mike Lombardi left, at least Mark Dominik was a capable replacement as he was also was a former NFL GM. Now without any explanation, Dominik was replaced by Geoff Schwartz who offers zero insight on how to manage an NFL franchise as his only qualification is that he’s a former player. Guess what? There’s hundreds of other podcasts that have former players on them. It’s false advertising to keep the title the same if you’re not going to have a former GM or any front office executive on this podcast. I stopped listening to this podcast and will be unsubscribing shortly if Schwartz remains the “GM” on this podcast.

I’m a long time listener of this podcast. This was by far my favorite football podcast when Michael Lombardi was the host. The podcast was okay when Mark Dominik took over although he was starting to grow on me. However, Mark disappeared this spring with no explanation from the co-host Dave Ross. Instead, we were stuck listening to pre-draft coverage from Geoff Schwartz who is a former player but not a GM. Schwartz is only good for providing sports betting advice and giving click bait worthy commentary that is meaningless. DraftKings needs to find a former GM, or someone who has experience working in the front office of an NFL team, to take over this podcast. I’m sad to say I will not be listening to this podcast again unless they find a better host. If they do, I’ll gladly give this podcast a 5-star rating.

This used to be my favorite podcast. With Schwartz now it has really become my least favorite podcast. They need to rebuild fast.

Show was great with Lombardi and very solid with Domink. However, the last few episodes have been horrendous. Geoff Schwartz provides zero valuable insight into team building, the draft, or really anything of substance. Value of the show was the former GMs. Now it’s misnamed as the “GM Shuffle.” Also show never addressed why Domink isn’t on anymore. It will be an unsubscribe for me soon. Pass!

You can’t replace Lombardi, I get that, but this latest episode with Schwartz was the worst episode ever. It was like listening to ESPN. No insight. No understanding of roster building or player evaluation. Just a former player talking like a former player. At least go find a former scout or something.

Show was great with ol beach ball lombo absolutely hacking up the English language and any mundane bland player name out there not to mention the difficult to pronounce names as well, he doesn’t discriminate. The new guy stinks. It’s reminiscent of Coach Gruden in the MNF broadcast, football fans were fully expecting Gruden to give us his true and unfiltered thoughts, That never happened because Gruden still had NFL aspersions so he he sheilded his true opinions in favor for “I love this guy, this guy is great” about every one. This Mark simp is top toeing through every subject so he doesn’t ruffle feathers and the show is lacking majorly because. It’s an auto skip for me now, hovering dangerously close to removal.

This was a GREAT show with Mike Lombardi who would regularly butcher the English language and NFL orthodoxy. Mark Domminik toes the in NFL line and rarely provides any meaningful insight about the NFL or the decision making of GMs. This just another football show with a talking head, hyping and pumping gambling.

The new guy doesn’t talk about psychology experiments or hand out awards based on restaurants from his childhood. Bad voice energy too

Wow, this has become a terrible listen. Lombardi was so candid and almost always correct—years ahead of others. The new guy has no insight at all and is clearly reluctant to criticize anyone. I could have brought more insight to the discussion of last weekend’s games and I am but a casual football fan. The discussion of the Lions game was particularly pathetic. How do you not talk about the deer-in-headlights play of Goff, or the bad play calls? Instead, it is oh well, they tried hard. I am sad to say this because I used to really look forward to Lombardi’s insights.

Who’s the new host?? Never an explanation what happened to Pat the Lions Boy but I don’t miss him

M Lombardi was good, but he became extremely repetitive. Mark D has been a breath of fresh air and has been a great replacement. I'm listening way more often again.

It is natural that filling Lombardy’s shoes is difficult, but this is not good. You devolved into a questionable weekly analysis show. I get that this guy doesn’t have much of exposure beyond Rahim Morris, but that is not an excuse. Getting to the point of unfollowing

Please, no more Josh Freeman or Raheem Morris stories.

This is one of 4-5 podcasts I would pay money for. Why it didn’t go to pay-to-play is beyond me. Even having to deal with the awkwardness of Femi’s connection to Michael for 2 years. Even with the lack of credibility with the rotating cast of Femi’s replacements. I would have paid. But alas, Michael Lombardi is on to the next stage of his career. Michael’s gain, our loss. Makes me proud to say Jersey produces the best talent. I will UNSUBSCRIBE now. Thanks for the memories!

Been my go to NFL pod for several years, Mike told it like it is , and was really plugged into the league. Crushed it prob won’t be around anymore. Learned some great leadership strategies as well, best of luck Mike! Hope you and Coach Belicheck kill it at UNC!

Can’t listen anymore. Lombo is too arrogant and thinks he knows better than everyone. Also employs “yes people” that perpetuate everything he says. Appreciate the knowledge and experience he has, but I’ve just had enough.
