This podcast episode is a 30 minute monologue talking about our desperate need for human interaction and connection at this time. This was sparked by my experiences and thoughts after this Thanksgiving 2020. I also share favorite Thanksgiving memories, Christmas memories, traditions and encouragement for all to step out of our comfort zones, not give into fear and be the change that we are wanting to happen.

Many of you probably know about the story of Jeremy Kappell. There is not a lot rehashed in this podcast. This is a deep dive for over an hour between two friends, fellow Meteorologists, broadcasters, Christians and husbands leading our families. You will hear a lot more about Jeremy's story before he even got to Rochester, NY, the struggles growing up, the struggles in his marriage with Lisa, and how they overcame it all so Jeremy could accept the position as Chief Meteorologist at WHEC, the NBC affiliate in Rochester, NY. Jeremy also highlights the change of culture, the rise of "trolls" and "keyboard cowboys" who spew hate and seek to destroy people online. He talks about what being an "accidental activist" means, and lays out a compelling case for what we all need to do to encourage and defend each other when the spirit of evil that is "cancel culture" and "virtue signaling" shows up. It's an inspiring conversation that shows just how much Jeremy, Lisa and their family have grown closer to God and each other. Jeremy also teases future projects on the way for 2021.

Jimmer's story is one of overcoming so many obstacles in life. If you have struggled in poverty, in a domestic situation, struggled with addictions or struggled with identity and purpose, this podcast is for you. And Jimmer drops a surprise near the end that I wasn't expecting. He is an amazing leader and I am so lucky to have him as a friend.

Michael Kite goes into his formative years and the things that truly inspired him to work hard, take responsibility and give back. He's honest about his shortcomings as a leader and as a person, learning from mistakes, and learning from great leaders around him. What is all the striving for?
