Patrick Battaglia, DC, DACBR, is the Assistant Vice President of Community-Based Clinical Education at the University of Western States. Dr. Battaglia is a board-certified chiropractic physician who has completed additional training and board certification in chiropractic radiology. Dr. Battaglia’s experience includes integrating chiropractic care into large health systems, especially community health centers, where he also provided direct patient care and student and resident instruction. Andreas Eklund earned this Ph.D. degree in 2016, and the title of his thesis was “Recurrent and persistent low back pain – course and prevention.” He currently works as a post-doctoral fellow at Karolinska Institutet and has clinical duties at a primary care rehabilitation unit. His research has mainly focused on psychological factors in chiropractic populations and maintenance care, and he has a particular interest in clinical outcome research applicable to practicing chiropractors. Andreas co-founded Hälsan Östertälje, a multidisciplinary primary care rehabilitation unit, working as an integrated team of health professionals, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, and Dietitians. Today's episode features one of Mt. Rushmore's people in strength and conditioning. Mike Boyle is one of the foremost experts in Strength and Conditioning, Functional Training, and general fitness. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training, and writing. In 1996, Michael co-founded Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, one of the world's first for-profit strength and conditioning companies. Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning exists for one reason: to provide performance-enhancement training for athletes of all levels. Athletes trained range from junior high school students to All Stars in almost every major professional sport. Michael served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University for 15 years; also, for the past 25 years, he has been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men’s Ice Hockey at Boston University. Mike also was the Boston Red Sox strength and conditioning coach in 2013 that won the World Series. Enjoy!

Dr. Christopher Powers founded and owned the Movement Performance Institute in Los Angeles. In addition, he is a Professor in the Department of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy and Co-Director of the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Southern California.
