Amen.Today's Scripture is sometimes misinterpreted giving the idea that we, as Christians will not suffer tribulations or condemnation.So today, I’m going to spend a few moments to talk about Romans Chapter 8 and verse 1 which says:Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus:Whenever we see the word ‘therefore’ we should always try to find out what the ‘there is for.’ So let us turn to the previous Chapter and look for the answer.In Chapter 7, Paul talks about the sinful nature in him that causes him to do the things he does not want to do; in spite of the fact that he knows that they are wrong. There is this a battle going on.In verse 21 he says:So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.And he cries out for help.24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?And he finds the answer.25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!So let’s go back to Romans Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, for my sins; and the truth that he has been raised from the dead; I have been set free from the law of sin and death.This freedom only comes if you have accepted his sacrificial death for your sins; and received him as your Savior and Lord.
