Today's Scripture Reading comes from The Book of John Chapter 1 and verse 29 which says:
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold!The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Our prayer today is that you would continue to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and share the good news of salvation.
In this first chapter of John, there is the Messenger, the Message, and the One who would fulfill that Message. These things were spoken beforehand by the Prophets Malachi and Isaiah, and by Jesus himself.
From a prophetic, biblical, Jewish perspective, the Message might sound like this:
Behold! The morning and evening sacrifice shall turn into one sacrifice; the evening sacrifice. When that day comes, that man Jesus, will be offered up, once and for all.
There will be no more sacrifices, but you will be required to offer your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.
