This is the best way to combat an Israeli business boycott Israeli celebrity chef Guy Vankin owns a number of restaurants in New York City including the Anixi vegan restaurant in Manhattan’s Chelsea section. In this video I misspoke. I said the restaurant had been picketed. The fact is, what happened was worse. There was an attempt to boycott Vankin’s restaurants. And he received multiple hateful messages, including at least one containing a photo of his children along with an implied threat. Just because he is from Israel. So when I asked my orthodox Jewish friend Elliott Gordon for the name of a good kosher restaurant and he recommended Anixi, I was all in. Politics aside, the service and the food, both in presentation and taste were phenomenal. You don’t have to be vegan, or keep kosher to enjoy it. This is a public episode.
