SUBALI
From London Heathrow to Kinshasa N’djili.People kept asking me the same question: “What’s life really like in Congo?”Instead of answering it over and over again, I started SUBALI Podcast. Born and raised in London, my relationship with Kinshasa began in 2021 when what was meant to be a three-week holiday turned into an unexpected 11-month stay. In 2023, I moved to Kinshasa for work and have been building my life here ever since. Through this podcast, I share my own experiences and sit down with people from different backgrounds to explore the realities, opportunities, and perspectives shaping modern Congo. You’ll hear conversations with members of the Congolese diaspora, entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, community builders, expats, and others whose stories help us better understand life in the Democratic Republic of the Congo today.SUBALI Podcast isn’t about having all the answers or representing every Congolese experience. It’s about listening, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing honest conversations that offer a deeper understanding of modern Congo through lived experience.Whether you’re part of the diaspora, living in Congo, considering a move, doing business here, or simply curious to learn more, you’re welcome.Join the SUBALI CommunityReceive new episode alerts and personal reflections from Kinshasa.
