First and foremost, Monte Williams is a compelling storyteller--in Hollywood, in Texas politics, and in the world of sports. Williams was hired by the Peabody Award-winning radio station KNOW-AM in Austin, where he covered state and local politics, the Austin music scene, and UT Longhorns & national sports. After serving as a press secretary for such Texas legends as Bob Bullock, Jake Pickle and Ann Richards, , Williams co-authored a TV pilot which was the inspiration for the sitcom Spin City. At the same time, he was hired by Steven Spielberg as an executive story editor for the ABC drama High Incident. Williams has also worked for NBC, CBS, and USA networks, and is a member of the Writers' Guild of America. Locally, Williams has produced podcasts for Central Health and Texas Monthly, and is a frequent guest host for 104.9 FM The Horn, the flagship station of the University of Texas Longhorns. Williams was also named as one of the "25 Funniest People in Austin" by the Austin American Statesman. Not that it matters. You can follow him on Twitter @montewilliams.
Episode 8: Remembering Frank Denius

I learned about valor and cowardice, and regionalism and prejudice, and I came to realize why Frank Denius was--and is--so beloved by so many people, whether they're 90 or 19.

Episode 6: Should the MLB have an automated strike zone?
