The last Friday Refresh

Before Christmasand all through the landthe people were hustlingwith their presents in hand.

The stockings are hung

The halls are all decked.The lights are all flickeringThe lists are all checked.

But it’s easy as such

To become quite distracted.By the bustle of crowdsAll the stuff has attracted.

But my hope for you

In this holiday seasonIs remembering dailyA much more important reason

The Families and friends

The kisses and hugsBy grandmothers and auntsWho make hot chocolate in mugs.

So don’t miss the chance

To soak in every momentWith the ones that you loveLove’s the most important component

The holidays aren’t perfect

Some people will struggleThey’ve lost folks they lovedAnd wish for one final snuggle.

So take care of others

As Christmas draws nearCards or Calls or CarolsIn short spread Christmas cheer.

In truth, it’s not about Santa

But Christ’s work in the fleshSo Merry Christmas to AllAnd That is your Friday Refresh
