A common arguement from average atheists against Christianity goes as follows: Jesus never existed, and was written as a deceptive fairy tale, using past gods and movements as inspiration. In fact, so they say, plenty of gods prior were born on Dec 25th, had 12 dicisples, resurrected, and were even born of virgins. This arguement was popularized by the movie 'Zeitgeist' - but does it hold water?
