We ventured to NE Minneapolis to interview a couple of former "Willmarites" - Kenny + Danny King, Founders of King Brothers Clothiers. These two are an absolute hoot, but also incredibly smart and determined entrepreneurs. As identical twin brothers, you inevitably share a lot of qualities and character traits. But their shared vision for the business they've built is quite special. You'll get to hear all about the evolution of King Brother Clothiers and MANY of the trials and tribulations along the way. We hope they inspire you as much as they inspired us. And there were plenty of giggles to go around!

We were so thrilled to be joined by our (newish) friend Nikki Jessop for today's episode! Nikki has a hard and inspiring life story centered around addiction, physical + mental health struggles, misdiagnoses and recovery. The Nikki we know and love today is full of joy, passion and determination. That wasn't always the case. Actually, for about 25 years of her life that really wasn't the case. We were honored to have Nikki on the podcast to bring hope, vulnerability and awareness to various mental health topics we all face (or might face) in today's world.

Hey, hey! It's been a while! After a little hiatus and some time to reflect, we are BACK with a re-energized spirit for what we're calling "Season 2" of The Forever Game Podcast. In this episode, Tyler and Jayme explain why we unintentionally took time off from recording + how we're going to change our approach for the next phase of the podcast. In a nutshell, we both asked ourselves "what the hell do we want to get out of this podcast!?" It should come as no surprise that our answers were quite different...

We recently invited our campus neighbor, Kami Anez (owner of Anez Consulting) up to the studio to chat about business and life. Full transparency, neither of us knew Kami very well beforehand. But in the handful of times I (Jayme) have crossed paths with Kami, I’ve always been impressed with the joy, energy & determination she brings to the world. I was always curious to hear and learn more from her, and to better understand the strength it took to pick up the pieces of her world after her husband Jared passed away suddenly in 2017.
We absolutely loved this conversation. It's real, honest, and may even make you tear up a little. We hope you enjoy and it makes you want to go out into the world and CHOOSE happiness.

Well, we went a little bit out of our comfort zone on this one... we attempted our first LIVE PODCAST. Which was an awesome (and TBH a little clumsy) learning experience. BUT luckily, we had an amazing guest - Bethany Lacktorin! It was an honor to get to help share some her life story AND the story of this new phase of life at Little Theatre Auditorium in New London MN.
Our community is pretty lucky to have this creative and inclusive space to hang and perform, but even more than that, we are lucky to have someone so passionate and good hearted as its Executive Director. Maybe you've heard rumblings about some cool stuff happening at the little auditorium, but don't totally understand what it's all about... give this one a listen! At the very least, it'll help connect some dots and hopefully provide the nudge you need to attend an event sometime.
Big thanks to the folks that showed up for this in person at LTA! We hope you had as much fun as us. Until the next time! (Yes, there will be a next time ;-) )

We recorded this episode towards the end of May - mental health month. But let's be real, with everything that's happening in the world these days, every month should be mental health month. We're trying to do our part to have regular open dialogue about the stuff that really matters... how we're taking care of ourselves, our kids, families and neighbors. Sometimes we get so busy worrying about everyone else, that we forget to make sure our own cup is full (or somewhat full ;-))
We brought in the professionals to answer some questions and talk us through some of the ways to help yourself AND get help when you need it. Simply put, mental health is similar to physical health in that each of us is unique based on genetics and behavior. Unlike physical health, however, everyone CAN recover from nearly any mental health problem by learning new behaviors, taking medication, or a combination of both. As with most problems, the first step in recovery is acknowledging a problem exists.
We are so thankful these two took time out of their days to share knowledge that EVERYONE can use to live happier lives.
