Ethan, Wen, Rook, Oro, and Friend proceed wearily into the great beast spirit of flight, Argo. Danger is afoot. Obstacles aplenty. A touching flashback.

Ethan has a dream. Wen keeps watch. Rook gives something up. Oro and Friend guide them out of the forest.

Wen and Rook rush to save Ethan from his lethal fall. The walls glow and then they don't. A faint light calls from the bottom. We see the plan of antagonists unravel - and they react by steeling their resolve.

Rook, Wen, and Ethan resupply emotionally and physically at their homes to head on a high level diving mission. They encounter brief hostility, grow closer, and align interests.The note stuck in Rook's door the day before read "Cabin 5A, Gold Woods," written on paper. They venture together from the humanity shrine for their first voyage into the forest below.
