We (Darin and Joel) conclude not only our study in Colossians, but also season 1 of this Podcast. We'd like to thank our listeners and our guest. We also talk a bit about future plans, so don't miss it! Amen brother! God-bless!

We try to make sure our programming only consists of those who support the essential position of salvation through Christ alone. That being said, there may be other differences, such as in matters of Eschatology, or other positions generally along the lines of denominational stances, that we at The Flaming Sword may or may not particularly endorse.

Moving on in our study, we cover Colossians Chap 3:5-17, which is famous for its "put offs" and "put ons", making it an easy to remember and applicable discipline to the Christian life. Darin and Joel had fun with this one (of course when don't we have fun), hitting each point in our faced paced format and leading us up to our final Podcast next which includes "submission"-oh my!

Moving right along in our Colossians study, we discuss many topics from legalism, false religion, mysticism, and asceticism. Lots of big words, but put into our usual fast paced, fun, easy to understand format.

After a week off, we pick up where we left off in Colossians Chap 2:6. We discuss many things including baptism, law, exactly what was nailed to the cross, and reiterate our emphasis on Christ alone! Fun and interesting, with a touch of humor as usual. God-bless

We pick up where we left off in Colossians, starting in Chap. 1 verse 24. Joel tells a slightly politically incorrect joke, but Darin gets on him for a different reason (way to cover his buddy). We discuss suffering and how the nations were without hope, but in Christ, everyone is offered salvation. Everything is in Christ, all wisdom and knowledge. Join us for a fun, fast paced, and thought provoking bible study!

We interrupted our Bible Study in Colossians for a special Christmas time treat. Carmine Hetrick was back and this was a very thought provoking and interesting presentation on what the star of Bethlehem may have been. This is one of those episodes we could have went on and on in discussion. While no one but God knows for sure what the actual star was, this plausible and exiting theory is well worth the listen.

We start with a little kingdom talk taking up with verse 13 from last time, then we discuss "that bloody religion" with verse 14, followed by the heart of the matter with verses 15-19 of Chap. 1. These passages are deep, exciting, rich with Christ, and even hard to contemplate as they picture Christ as co-equal with God the Father. We close out with verse 23, for another great Podcast with a lot of fun, but also a serious message. God-bless!

After a fun but haphazard start, we continue our study in Colossians re-reading Chap. 1 vrs-4-5, then getting down to business with verse. 6. We manage to get to verse 14 before closing, but cover faith + works, the simple gospel, kingdom now, and why chastisement is a key way to tell whether you are in the faith or not. Good times, but serious message, all in one Podcast. Enjoy!

Joel and Darin begin a series in Colossians and barely a few verses in, we run into the doctrine of election and the Trinity. Joel's joke pushes the limits, but hey, that's what we do. It was a blast to shoot; we love the Word of God and in our usual fast paced, but fun delivery, we get this series started off flying!

We start out as usual, but have an excellent short clip from Dr. James Tour to get us rolling, Joel then discusses the amazing design of the human brain, eyes, and wait for it...the liver! We then close with a short interview on the topic Darin did with Than Christopoulos of the Exploring Reality You-Tube Channel. Faced paced, interesting, and with our normal touch of humor...enjoy!
