As the moratorium in NY is ending Jan. 15, officials are scrambling to get people vaccinated instead of working harder to avoid an eviction tsunami. Many have called for it to be extended but it doesn't seem likely to happen. On top of that, many landlords resorted to illegal evictions and other illegalities. The reason why there is little to no cry out is because of the distractions coming from our own government. Everyone needs to do something to prevent a social debacle here in NY. To put someone out after the holidays, during the cold months is nothing short of blatant heartlessness.
