I have been a fan of Film Riot since the beginning when Adam bit the apple. And boyyyy what a joy it has been to see it grow from Ryan and his siblings to the amazing company it is today. Yes, the podcast is incredible and I LOVE hearing a new educational conversation every time there’s a new episode but just BIG congrats to Ryan and the whole team for everything growing to where it is. These interviews have really given me perspective on not only the technical side of filmmaking but the business side as well. Listening to Ryan as he asks relevant questions that all of us aspiring filmmakers want to know, really keeps you hooked. Most of the guests are extremely open to how they achieved their level of success and the process they took to get there. It seems like there are so many stories they could tell, but the podcast finds a way of condensing things into the information that we need to know. Great work!

This is really awesome, I love film riot and all of the contact they have on the YouTube channel, but this podcast is a great way to listen to it on the go! The film riot team has a plethora of knowledge that they share, making this podcast invaluable for young filmmakers, and professionals in the industry!

This is an endlessly entertaining and helpful film podcast. Ryan is able to have great noteworthy guests who give honest answers because they know that Ryan knows his stuff. It’s not a comedian trying to get the audience to laugh, or a journalist looking for a story. It’s a filmmaker having a thoughtful conversation with other people in the business/filmworld… and we get to listen!

I think this podcast and the youtube channel is super motivating to beginning filmmakers and I love the way that they structure there podcasts and videos, easy, concise and great content to consume on the daily. I think this has helped me so much with my films and techniques!

And they've shared their journey, tips, and tricks with the world for free on their YouTube channel. This podcast gives even more unfettered access to leading industry professionals to answer the questions we all have. Do yourself a favor, and stop reading reviews and start listening to the podcast. Film Riot at large is an amazing platform for anyone who wants to be a filmmaker. But the podcast does something that the YouTube channel always do. It lets Ryan sit down with industry pros to ask the questions that many of us can’t. So few people working in this business are willing to just answer questions and mentor the next generation of filmmakers that this has made his podcast ESSENTIAL! Thanks to Ryan and the Film Riot team for all of their hard work.

I love film riot. Ryan is a genius. What else is there to say? Listening to this podcast is like curling up by the fire on a cold December morning, drinking coffee and getting ready to watch the giraffes parade down the Mississippi River on their way to defend the United States from the hordes of cannibal Vikings from Jupiter who have invaded earth and are now preparing rid the world of cheese curds. But the giraffes are here to defend not only the curds, but the human race and life as we know it. Boy, this podcast makes me feel right at home! I love it!

I just started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago. As a struggling indie film maker he asks the questions that I’ve always wanted to know! I’ve been learning to make films from film riot since Ryan started and it is so reassuring/inspiring to hear these stories.

Ryan’s podcast is one of a select group I’ve been listening to over the last few years as I direct and producer my first independent feature. A great resource to help filmmakers sift through the barrage of misleading content that has been inevitably created with the democratization of filmmaking. Very grateful to this podcast and those like it to get clean and reputable information on a weekly basis. Suit up, take notes, and be prepared to learn something new about the craft of filmmaking.

Your episode with Ryan Staub is one of my favorite podcasts of all time! Ryan gave a bunch of great advice. I'm a fan of the Save the Cat beat structure but also feel that the 2nd act is so massive that I stuggle with finding enough organic action. Are there any recommended books out there about the 4 act structure?

I’ve always loved FilmRiot, but I’ve often been too distracted by the awesome visuals to watch and edit at the same time. With this amazing podcast, I can edit my projects with the podcast in the background. Amazing topics, amazing guests, and amazing tips! All around amazing podcast!

I love Film Riot and think it’s the most entertaining and informative channel for filmmaking on YT. The lessons learned from listening to these episodes can be applied to everyday life of how to talk, deal with and lead people. As a fan of Film Riot the show(for many many years now), having this additional bit of content is wonderful. What I enjoy most about the conversations Ryan has with his guest comes from his desire to learn and improve himself. Everything the film riot team brings us ultimately is to help us improve and become better creatives. What’s unique is that we learn and grow with Ryan as he tackles his own creative obstacles and picks the brain of his guest. For anyone who is on their way to becoming a director, this is by far the most entertaining and professionally useful film podcast currently available. It is honest, open and relevant. Highly recommended for anyone who’s serious about film making and wants to learn from the experiences of an up and coming director who is transitioning to the world of feature film directing.

The Film Riot YouTube channel is a great resource for aspiring filmmakers. The content they produce is wonderful, but this new podcast may be even better. Maybe it’s the stage I’m at in my career, but there are so many nuggets of wisdom in these interviews. Anyone who is looking to make their first feature, this is the podcast to listen to. Kudos to Ryan and the gang for all of the work that they do.

Film Riot has dominated youtube, and it's only a natural progression that they extend the discussion of the film indusrty to podcasting. Right out of the gate the first episode is great enough to know more invaluable content is on the horizon. WSER!

I truly appreciate you doing this for us Ryan. I’m super excited for the Shazam film along with all his upcoming films. As a small film maker I’ve done some projects where I had to film a dinner scene with just two cameras and I think 5 or 6 actors. Let’s just say it took all night but thankfully the 30 seconds scene was worth it. Looking forward to more of these and more of your films. Hopefully one day soon I can be at an IMAX screening of one your films.
