Ghosts, Goblins, Khala without makeup & Sam in her sweats... It's that Spooky time of year when all the Halloween monsters are roaming about... Actually guys, that's just Khala without her mascara and hair gel. Don't be scred! Sam, well, she actually looks normal. Halloween is when Khala accepts her true self and Sam morphs into Princess Unicorn. Figures... ash-hole ;). Anyways.. it's post Season 1. We had an absolute blast Fully Exposing The Female's first season of podcasting. The holidays call for family time, phones turned off, and attention focused on family and the stillness of life that brings about the most joy. We're taking time this holiday season to celebrate and enjoy our wonderful family! We are so grateful to all of you who have supported our start and listened to each crazy, off-cuff show. You are our inspiration and we strive for greatness! Notice how all women’s problems begin with MEN? Yeah… us too. We all love our boys, of course, but there’s no mistaking that they can drive us crazy! But what’s worse, it seems that at times they have things SO much better than us. To be a boy and NOT have to deal with cycles, yearly “check-up” appointments, mammograms, taking hours to get ready and so much more. Us, females; we are unique creatures that must be “maintained” and require attention, feeding, and pretty things to help us feel our best. Today’s show is a comical melting pot of all those things that make us amazing and uniquely female, but also make us envy our male partners with a vengeance. In fact, today’s show is the best way to end the FIRST EVER season of The Female, Fully Exposed. We are in love with every minute we spent together creating a fun, authentic, and very EXPOSED podcast that allowed us to chat about everything female and explore a whole new world that we pray gave our listeners laughs, support, and a feeling of a tight knit woman community experiencing and enjoying the same things. This Female Finale is just the beginning of what’s to come as we learn, grow, and continue to laugh our way through our 30s and everything life throws at us. Thank you. We all live by a timeline. Some more than others. Is it right? Is it wrong? Does it stifle us or challenge us to meet goals? We don’t know. But we think, the more we talk about it, perhaps we should just do away with the timeline. Maybe as females, we need to normalize the fact that we do NOT have to live by a timeline. Life is messy, unpredictable, we’re ever evolving. And with all the uncertainty that comes with that, how can we expect to live perfectly by a timeline society says we must adhere to? Yes, physical and biological factors are at play. But, we’re not perfect and we may miss the mark at times… or all of the time. So, let’s give ourselves grace, let’s throw away the playbook, embrace life as it is and trust that maybe a higher power knows best and things often seem to work out when we stop trying to control the uncontrollable…

Faith. It's something so many of us are struggling to maintain, or have lost, in watching and experiencing the turmoil of an uncertain world with an uncertain future.  It's hard enough to witness a world in chaos and pain and keep faith but, how do you keep your trust in God and His Plan in the midst of agonizing personal struggles that torture the heart and mind day in and day out? You can't just simply "turn it off" or silence the volume. When the pain is within, there seems to be no reprieve. Enter Brooke. The Female's first ever guest and Khala's dear friend. On a girls' weekend away to nourish the soul and quiet the mind, Brooke so courageously agrees to come on to tell her story of devoted faith in her struggle of infertility and suffering a miscarriage. Her humble words of encouragement to other women facing the same pain is inspiring and her dedication to her faith and trust of God's Plan pulls at every heart string. Brooke's spoken words are years beyond her age and her willingness to trust in God's unknown plan for her life despite her very human and female desires, is simply... extraordinary. A Bucket List. The best kind of list. A list full of adventure, joy, fear, racing hearts, dirty boots, and breathtaking views.  A list that often gets lost or forgotten among the many other seemingly more important or practical lists of our every day routines and schedules. But, it’s THIS list, the one that unintentionally collects the most dust, that really shapes a life and perhaps even more clearly defines its true purpose, calling, and intended nature. How do we focus more on our Bucket List and less on the grocery list, honey-do list, back to school list, and the 100s of others that plaque our minds and schedules every day? Money, it seems, is always an issue and there are never enough hours in a day to get everything done. Is it wiser then to stay the course of practicality and hustle for every dollar to have the best of the best, complete those house renovations and save up for that new car? Or, could your wealth and success be found not in the material things you buy, but in the experiences you have, the memories you create, the fears you face with your heart in your throat, and the quality time devoted to spending with loved ones? This week’s Call to Action: Find that Bucket List you stuffed somewhere in the back of that junk drawer, dust that baby off, update it, and pin it to the front of your calendar. Your next to-do is to make that Bucket List a reality.

In a world where we are taught so often to hate our bodies and strive for the perfection we see and envy on social media, can we find the practical and human balance between Instagram Filters and real life? When we’re trying so hard to “love ourselves” despite imperfection, is it okay to seek out procedures that can slow the aging process and perhaps enhance the physical beauty we crave? How far is too far? Egos aside, we all hate aging and every human person desires to be attractive and look their best. That said, is there a line that can’t or shouldn't be crossed when it comes to trying to slow down the inevitable? How far will YOU go?

Are you a Screamer? Sam decides she is not. Khala, on the other hand, can be. But only with her husband. But we’re not talking about THAT kind of screaming so pull your heads out from the sheets and tune into a very PG conversation about the 3 (sometimes 4) S’s of conflict reaction. Well, they encompass the BEST of the worst embarrassing moments in our professional and personal lives! You don’t want to miss this knee-slapping show where Khala exposes the Attack of The Mind and how her brain purposely finds ways to sabotage important, need-to-be-super-confident moments by replaying her most mortifying moments on a repeat reel in her head. Sam is rediscovering the beginning stages of those Female hormones in the attitude and confused emotions of her 12 year old daughter. Unfortunately, without our own amazing Mother physically here to help and give maternal advice, Sam is green as they come in dealing with her oldest daughter’s tween/pre cycle hormones. She & her husband are doing an exceptional job raising their girls but would love YOUR advice, stories, experiences, and tips in dealing with those pesky mood-swings, attitudes and whatever else may lay ahead of year 12. Because, this is JUST the beginning... And with her spunky youngest daughter just a few years behind, she'll soon have two raging, hormonal, crying, screaming, beautiful and amazing girls going through that inevitable and confusing change from girlhood to womanhood. And, ultimately, how does one watch their own “baby girl” slowly mature into a tiny woman, especially when the heart is not yet ready for that?  Where is the line drawn between compassion and discipline? Today we beg you join the conversation and the group of parents raising tweens and teens who need advice, a shoulder to cry on, a sounding board to relieve frustrations, and allies to share in the many glasses of wine needed to get through the next several years... So, let's raise those glasses to our amazing, emotional teenagers and the hormones that drive us all mad!
