As the COVID situation has improved now not only in the U.S. , but also in Europe, Hannah and Tina are talking about the return of running and cycling group activities.
The FEEN Berlin have reunited in real life activities now after a long break of running together exclusively virtually. They also have already raced together their own, self-organized competition.
Hannah is also talking about hier experience of being able to ride in a big women’s group on the bike again. Generally, the re-socialising in sport activities shows how much we all have missed this.
Also the printing of FEEN shirts is in the making and we are excited to running and riding in the future with our own FEEN sports clothes. So watch out for our shirts!

Luckily, the world is opening up! We are excited to be attending running events soon. Tina talks about the pure joy she felt attending a hybrid race past weekend in Massachusetts. It is really nice, and strange at the same time, to see other runners again face to face after a long time. While triathlon races are already open for amateurs in the US, Europe is reopening slower. However, Hannah is seeing races to take place again after a long COVID break, especially for triathlons. She shares her plans for the second half of the year for in person races. With most races being postponed to September and October, including all big marathons, we will all face a highly density and accumulation of races in a short period of time. How to handle this? The best way might be to take what you get!

Both sports attract many of us! Is one superior to the other? In this podcast episode we compare running and cycling. Listening you will find out why Hannah loves to ride her bike and why there are 8+1 advantages for biking over running.
And the winner is? Run! Bike! Both! Whatever you enjoy wins, because the best sports is always the one you actually do!
And our winner? Tina would say running wins. But that is a very personal judgement because the runner’s high is where the magic happens. Hannah makes strong statements for cycling and being a triathlete at heart she anyhow proofs that either or can be perfect pending the circumstances.
In the end we agree that we love to ride our bicycles and we look forward to learning if you rather bike or run?!

Are more women running races than men? A report published 2019 “The state of running” claimed that women outnumber men globally making up 50.24% of all runners. The U.S. is having a huge impact on this result with 57% of female participants. But is this the experience we make ourselves? And does this mean that an equal number of women is taking part in running races?
Our individual perception might be influenced by many factors: where we run, which races we attend and even which age group we are in. For example, the average age of running women is 36, whereas the number drops after the age of 40.
We discuss the number of women who are running races looking at the numbers of big marathon events and our own experiences.
