Times can be and are often difficult for many. In a world wide time of crisis it can be worse. For Christians our suffering is not for nothing, it is doing something. We shall remain faithful to our mission of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As disciples of Christ we have the message of reconciliation, of life, hope, peace. We have been sent by God into all the world as ministers of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19), to preach the gospel, to plead with sinners to get right with God through Jesus.

The Scriptures reveal that God is “Holy, holy, holy.” God’s holiness means that He is not like man: He’s different, other, separate. His holiness should cause man to fear.

We who are in Christ are treated fully as children of God. As a child of God we are to act accordingly. Always being transformed into the image and likeness of our Elder Brother, Jesus Christ. God lovingly chastises His children when we go astray. Always calling us back to Him through Christ.

The freest man is the one who submits him/herself to the perfect Master!

The Scriptures are sufficient. However, we are insufficient in ourselves for knowing God! Seek the Lord through His Word.

The Scriptures say, "For You, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; You are exalted above all gods." (Psalm 97:9) There is no one who is worthy to be raised to the highest of heights in our minds than God. Are you exalting Him? What does your fruit say about it?

The Apostle Paul says to the Corinthians, “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2) The crucifixion of Christ is very important for all of man. Do you know why? Do you resolve like Paul to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified?

The Scriptures say that Christ rose on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:4). The resurrection of Jesus Christ is important for the Christian to dwell upon. Not just one time a year, but every day of the year.

The prophet Joel and Apostle Peter when proclaiming this had something very different in mind than the culture today. The sinners prayer had no place in the mind of these men. Sackcloth and ashes, weeping and wailing, crying out to be saved. These themes would have been predominant in their minds.
