Lauren Ritchie, also known as @itsecogal on Instagram, is an 18-year-old climate activist based in New York City. She was born and raised in the Bahamas but now studies Sustainable Development and Political Science at Columbia University. Along with being a writer for Brown Girl Green, she also runs her own blog where she shares educational content about intersectional environmentalism while simultaneously amplifying marginalised voices.

In this episode, we discuss the difference between the Bahamas and New York City in terms of environmental responsibility, Black representation in environmental spaces, environmental racism, accountability, and tips to mobilise others into caring about climate change.
