Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, Sabrina Chan struggled to come to terms with her ethnic identity. As a daughter of immigrants from Hong Kong, she navigated feelings of shame, exclusion, and marginalization in many of her childhood relationships and experiences. As an adult, this led her on a journey towards healing racial trauma—one in which she learned to understand her family's history and her own story in a way that ultimately transformed her life.Sabrina's professional journey began as an engineer, but her gift of helping others to grow in their understanding and love of God led her to a new vocational calling. When Jay Kim was four years old, he and his mother moved from Korea to the Silicon Valley.
