Well we stayed in the home waters and ate some crow. Caught a couple redfish but didn't get the finish we wanted.

It looks like Summer is finally here!

Storm surge, Lots of rain run off. Muddy water. It must be time for a fly tournament.

Lots to cover this week. My 11 yr old son and I fished the Galveston Redfish Tournament in waters I hadn't ever been in. I also explored a new area in my scouting attempts for the Galveston Classic. My buddy Mark caught a state record Black Drum but didn't do all of the registration to claim it.

This week I recap a trip where we got shots at sheepshead, a big ugly, a bull red and a triple tail all in one morning. We'll also discuss the salinity maps and how I use it to select my fishing areas after lots of rainfall occurs.

It's action packed until you try to film things with a nice camera. This week we talk about getting skunked, fresh water run off and high tides.

We camped, fished, fought the wind, told campfire stories and had an overall blast.
