This is a fun podcast that gives a different perspective, as you hear both from a young wife and husband about what they’re reading separately and together. You can tell they have a loving, warm relationship, and it’s fun to hear them discuss books they both read. Curtis also has a different type of book list from what I hear on most podcasts (leadership books, spy thrillers, war stories). Unfortunately for us, the podcast is either on hiatus or done for good, as of 2022. The couple had a baby in the fall of 2021 and Chelsey is also co-host of another podcast (Novel Pairings), so I’m not sure if this podcast is coming back.

Chelsea and Curtis are so fun to listen to. They give me excellent ideas for my TBR for sure. But they obviously enjoy their bookish relationship. They are kind and respectful to each other and also have great senses of humor about their differences in taste. Honestly they are as much role models for how to treat people you love as they are reading role models. I love listening to them.

Really enjoy this podcast but since last one was in January, wondering where they went. Is podcast over?

This podcast is a pleasure because it feels like I’m hanging out with neighbors. Chelsey and Curtis aren’t booksellers or authors; they’re just a couple who like to read broadly and then talk about the books. There aren’t enough podcasts with regular guys, which is another bonus

I really enjoy the banter of Curtis and Chelsea. Each episode provides so much interesting perspective on a variety of books since Curtis and Chelsea's interests don't directly match up. This leaves me with tons of book recommendations and I really appreciate that.

This has become one of my favorite podcast.

I am always on the lookout for a podcast to get more (and more) TBR suggestions. The hosts of this podcast are great to listen to, are always having a great time, even if they don’t like the books they are reviewing, and really are able to discuss their reading in a super fun way. I always look forward to when their podcast jumps up to the top of my library when a new one gets released.

A couple of months ago I started listening to podcasts at work. I started to look for book ones and came across this one. I enjoy the book feedback and overall flow of the conversations. By listening to some episodes I got book recommendations that normally I would not think of reading. I enjoy listening to each episode and have been trying to play catch up on them.

Great content but the constant use of “um” is distracting and frankly, annoying. I judt can’t continue listening.

Any bookish podcast usually brings me joy, but He Read She Read is far and away my favorite. The dynamic between the two hosts is hilarious and adorable and the topics they choose never fail to pique my interest. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s a lover of all things books!

I’ve been listening to HeReadSheRead for about a year and love to save a few episodes and binge with a big cup of coffee, while working on mindless tasks. I appreciate the Packers love as a fellow Midwesterner... and that they balance contemporary and classics in their podcasts. I also appreciate that Chelsea unashamedly reads romance and I am here for that. Basically, this is filled with perfect book talk and a necessity for any bookworm’s ears.

Listening to Curtis and Chelsey discuss books together, and give book recommendations is very entertaining. I am an avid reader and love listening to book discussions. They even throw in screen recommendations too.

I like this duo. I don’t always want to read the books they talk about, but they’re still fun and interesting to listen to. I wait to listen to the buddy read episodes until I’ve read the book if it’s one that’s on my TBR.

I feel like my reading style is sort of slightly adjacent or between what Curtis and Chelsea enjoy. I feel there are many times I’m excited when they start talking about a book but then it turns out to not be quite my vibe. I’m Definitely a more sensitive reader than they are, haha. Having said that I always move them towards the top of my podcast queue and I’ve definitely added things to my TBR.

I first heard Chelsey and Curtis on the What Should I Read Next podcast and immediately subscribed to their own reading podcast. I love their chemistry and find myself laughing along with them. Their recommendations are always on pointe and provide a mix of popular must-reads and books I might have missed from years ago. Curtis’s on-going Love/hate relationship with Star Wars/Disney gives me life!

I think the thing I love the most about this podcast is how they diversely Curtis and Chelsea read. Rather than being another podcast that’s only talking about front list titles, they really delve into a wide variety of books across many genres. Love the repartee they have with each other.

I was first introduced to He Read, She Read in Anne Bogel’s podcast What Should I Read Next and have finally made my way through all of the past episodes to the present. I am an avid reader so I am always looking for book recommendations. I love getting both Curtis and Chelsea’s perspectives on the buddy reads and other books they are reading. The banter between the couple is so cute and it is evident they love each other as much as they love reading. I have a much longer TBR list thanks to this podcast but there are worse problems to have.

This is a great podcast, which I found after hearing Curtis and Chelsey on Anne Bogel’s podcast. I love Curtis and Chelsey’s discussions- they are smart and witty and filled with discussions of interesting books. They clearly enjoy books and each other. I like their two perspectives - military officer and literature student/teacher- seemingly different but their perspectives are interesting and mesh well.
