Episode #151: My Special Guest Appearance on the HUMAN UPGRADE Podcast with Dave AspreyOn occasion, when I have a highly impactful guest appearance on another podcast, I will publish it here for all of you to listen! THIS interview was a no brainer for me to publish! I knew that going into my discussion with Dave, there would be a great synergy but I had no idea it would be to such a high extent. To call this entertaining, would be a drastic understatement. Dave has the kind of dry humor that I appreciate to the highest extent, a type of FUN that brings joy and laughter into my life and our back and forth was FILLED with this. You will hear a lot of chuckles, pauses with smiles and laughing but also, a wide array of topics most people refuse to touch. We both have a no holds barred way of conveying our message and while we both come across differently, the points are well received and the synergy between our thoughts is not just entertaining but keeps you guessing and wanting more. This is the kind of stand out conversation, where we will go after “polarizing” topics, go against the grain without concern and both of us not be bothered by negative criticisms because our mission to deliver TRUTHS is far more important. Prepare to be entertained but enlightened, laughing but learning and enthralled from start to finish. The only part of this that I did not enjoy was when it ended, but I have a feeling, we have PLENTY MORE discussions together to come... ENJOY! In this episode of The Human Upgrade, Host Dave Asprey sits down with Dylan Gemelli for a candid, systems-level conversation about peptides, research chemicals, SARMs, and the gray zone between medicine, performance enhancement, and personal responsibility. They explore what research chemicals really are, why peptides fall into that category, and how legality often has little to do with biological risk or effectiveness. The discussion spans MK-677 and growth hormone signaling, muscle versus strength, testosterone optimization, nicotine versus tobacco, and the tradeoffs between aesthetics, performance, and long-term function. Dave and Dylan also examine diet failures, metabolic recovery, exercise myths, and why modern healthcare discourages self-experimentation and medical autonomy. Throughout the conversation, Dave shares personal experiences rebuilding his health using unconventional tools, framing biohacking as a smarter-not-harder approach to human performance, longevity, and taking ownership of your biology You’ll Learn: 1. What research chemicals actually are and why peptides fall into that category2. How compounds like MK-677 stimulate growth hormone and affect muscle recovery3.
