This event is one for which I am wholly unversed. I am not a truck guy (but I work with some excellent ones). I want to examine this event for the human factors that might have played a roll. When listening try to remember a time that you operated maybe just a bit outside your own safety. Was there a time wherein you maybe gambled even? The Fire Ground is full of grey areas and gut decisions sometimes have to been seen to the end. Let this episode remind us that we are all susceptible and then remind us to train accordingly.

A discussion regarding the events at this large residential structure with a somewhat unusual layout to include the initiation of a search for possible victims when time and circumstance would not allow for delay. RIT deployed.

I think a good discussion mayday, RIT/Rescue and on scene crew interview and communication. @TheDryPlug on Facebook or [email protected]
Please note: There is an editing mistake toward the back end of this episode. During the discussion of the Cyanokit much of the introduction to this topic was mistakenly edited out and is a bit confusing. Also I transposed the word carbon monoxide with cyanide. These kits act to prevent/reduce cyanide poisoning. This was an unforced error and just lazy thinking on my part. My apologies.
