Zaib welcomes back Sarosh to the podcast to talk about an epidemic that is False Equivalency and how it is used as part of the modern-day narrative building.
The discussion argues how false equivalency and neutrality (a nod to EP 84) are basically used as get-out-of-jail cards to avoid taking difficult decisions amidst moral, ethical, and social conundrums. A potent discussion for the ones interested in dissecting current-day popular thoughts.

Zaib vents his frustration about the ongoing discourse around political civility (or lack thereof, arguably) and how it is "ruining" political discussions.
Zaib tries to bust the idea of everyone falling in line with one another and loving each other until the cows come home to make love.
Zaib explores the idea that not every political debate and conflict can be achieved by hugging and kissing and there needs to be a level of aggression and strong-headedness to achieve REAL change.

In light of the release of EP 98 discussing the debate around the release of the movie, 'Lady of Heaven', Mustafa & Zaib got into a back and forth on the viability of such a discussion along with taking offense to certain comments made on that particular episode.
Therefore, Zaib decided to talk it out on the podcast to provide the audience who listened to the first one and might have had similar comments/concerns. A very open and respectful discussion between mature individuals. A discourse that allows true coexistence.
Enjoy

For this very special episode, the 100th, Zaib welcomes a personality that was brought up in Episode 9 way back in 2020 while discussing Bayaan (winner of Pepsi Battle of the Bands) and their new record "Suno" and the seemingly innocuous turn the album took with a song titled "Diara".
The guest for this special episode is none other than someone who owns the bragging rights to the song's 'success', Shahrukh Aslam, famed guitarist for Bayaan. We discuss many things from #cokestudio to #pepsibattleofthebands , from music as a profession to food, and from Azfar to #Xulfi. Shahrukh also shares some very interesting trivia about which Bayaan song has profanities recorded as part of the studio version that was released!
That and so much more in this special, special episode!

This episode is the reason why this podcast came into existence. Not particularly because of the topics discussed but the level of discourse, that was usually the case with Zaib, Sahir & Farrukh's unrecorded drawing-room discussion, is brought to FULL light in this engaging, detailed, and a rather controversial episode.
Zaib, Sahir & Farrukh talk about Abortion rights in light of the recent #roevwade ruling by the #scotus and share their feelings and opinion on the matter and quickly transition into what would be a highly charged discussion around same-sex behaviors, scientific research, morality and a host of other elements that are ignited as part of this back and forth.
They briefly also touch on the matter of atheism, religion, and the in light of the discussion around supreme authority vs. social interpretations in light of the overarching discussion around sexual tendencies. A long but very beneficial discussion for anyone interested in these topics.

Zaib & Sarosh talk about the recent religious movie released called "The Lady of Heaven" depicting the life, especially the final days, of Fatima (AS) daughter of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW).
The film focuses on the controversial turn of events leading up to Fatima's (AS) untimely departure (e.g., event of the door) and sheds a "negative" light on a prominent Muslim personality, companion, 2nd Caliph, Umar bin Khattab.
That, obviously, led to protest and calls for the banning of the movie, partly because of the notorious backer/financier of the movie, a man despised by all sides alike called Yasser Habib.
The guys talk in detail about why certain people feel hesitant in wearing their beliefs on their shoulders (especially Shias) and whether people with opposing worldviews have a right to present their narratives.
Note: Viewpoints presented in this episode are worldviews owned by millions of people across the world but don't get to talk about it due to threats to life etc. Therefore, objecting to them is a universal right but to shut them down isn't. Hope people listening in can understand the difference between the two.

Zaib and Sahir recently went back to Pakistan after 3 and 12 years respectively and had a sudden moment of reconsideration after living in Karachi for an extended period of time.
Was migration needed? If it was needed at the time, is it needed now? Can we have it all back home? The fancy lifestyle, the domestic help/staff, the money, and the social pedigree? Check out this much-needed and truthful discussion about moving back to Pakistan (forever!)
