Last football season, my fan tank was running on empty. I even told my wife that I did not have the energy to go to the store after Vanderbilt’s loss to UGA. I live in Georgia, where if seen in my black and gold, I would have been heckled and literally barked at while attempting to buy groceries. Trevor and Will’s relentless GRIT will lift you out of the depths of despair and have you ready to do it again next weekend. While Vanderbilt has no business playing at Georgia State, I will be there. Growing up in the greater Nashville area, I have seen Vanderbilt as the punchline to most jokes when it comes to SEC athletics. I have always considered myself a neutral observer of college sports, not really growing up with a school that my family either attended or supported. While I have always hoped Vandy would improve at some point, I always viewed them as the needy school that doesn’t take athletics seriously. While all of these negatives are true, for some unknown reason, I decided to attend last seasons home football opener against Hawaii. And for reasons only known to the almighty, a short clip of some strange man screaming, “SORRY STACEY THE DORES NEED ME” popped up on my feed. Since then, this podcasts unwavering energy, realism, and GRIT has slowly turned me into a fan of Vandy. I found myself attending a college baseball game, something I never thought I would do, cause these two immaculate men indoctrinated me into the cult of Tim Corbin. I have realized it’s very fulfilling to support the team that you live near, and while the only connection I had to Vandy before this was dating a girl on the track team for a short time, I now find myself cheering for all Vanderbilt sports teams. I’m officially on board, and while I can’t say I am looking forward to the untold heartache that comes with being a fan of any Vanderbilt sports team, I am looking forward to finally having a team to cheer for.

The best Vanderbilt,Vandy,Commodores,Black and Gold Sports Podcast available. Period,point- blank, and end of story! Their mix of humor,facts, and ad lib simply can not be beat. I have had the opportunity to meet these fine gentleman and they are top notch individuals. I have been hooked on their podcasts for awhile now. I recommend you give these guys a listening to. As a licensed attorney, I find the defamation by Blake Fromang of my friend Mr. Trevor Hulan, a loyal, lifelong Commodore fan and season ticket holder, a dutiful employee of the great state of Tennessee, a distinguished graduate student, a podcast co-host, and a prouder cat owner, to be absolutely deplorable! It is an outrage that Mr. Hulan is being libeled with defamatory photographs and videos which depict him as a close friend, associate, and confidant of Jerry Stackhouse, who is a poor basketball coach. Mr. Stackhouse has failed to build a viable, winning, NCAA Tournament in year 5 of his program and Mr. Hulan has no association with his bad coaching and recruitment of players. These videos and photographs made by Mr. Fromang that depict Mr. Hulan’s twitter avatar along with Coach Stackhouse are demeaning and outside the bounds of common decency! Mr. Hulan has suffered great personal humiliation as a result of the dissemination of these horrific images. I hereby demand that Mr. Fromang cease and desist. I also hereby offer my legal services to Mr. Hulan and suggest that this matter be put before the Honorable William Byrum for resolution! Sincerely, George Barclay, Esq.

As a super passionate fan of Vandy Basketball and Jerry Stackhouse (mostly because he looks so good in a suit) I appreciate your podcast! You always have me laughing on here and at the games shouting at Jerry. Keep doing Gods work and hope you don’t jinx us with your presence on Friday. LOL!

If you too like to not only torture yourself by watching games on Saturday (or midweek 5.8%ers) but actually want to re-live them later in the week this is the grit n spit pod you need. The biggest relief comes from the cocktail hour when you can actually take a break from the constant sadness known as Vanderbilt fandom.

Gentlemen, First, I am probably not your target audience so this may mean little or nothing. I have been a fan of the Dores as long as I can remember. First games I saw in person were in the early seventies. As a media starved Vandy fan, I have listened to your pods fairly regularly. I’m fine with your youthful exuberance (compared to this old timer) when prognosticating about team, games and season, though I have found myself thinking how a couple more decades will shape your perspective quite a lot. Also - you are certainly welcome to express whatever opinion you may have and do so however you see fit. Having said that, after listening to your post Presbyterian podcast, you will have to carry on without me. Totally classless, inappropriate and highly offensive. No matter how much you may disagree with coaching and player’s performances, you would do well to remember that this is our team. I promise you, not one player, administrator or coach wants to lose any game or do anything that is disrespectful to Vanderbilt or it’s fans. Not one. But it happens. Sometimes it hurts a lot, but to make vulgar personal attacks is unacceptable and offensive. Your last podcast was a total disgrace. I hope your next podcast begins with a major apology to Coach Stackhouse, his players, the administration, and to your listeners. I thought you guys were just young and having some fun - but not any more… completely classless. I’m out.

I don’t know who needs to hear this... OK, actually I know EXACTLY who needs to hear this, it’s Will & Trevor. When you’re referring to a competitive matchup, the word is VERSUS, not VERSE. But for real, these guys are fun and knowledgeable. They’re a good listen.

Every time Will and Trevor speak, every time Phoebe jumps onto the table, every time a cocktail hour goes unsponsored, a Vawl fan loses their checkered overalls. A podcast so gritty that the mere sound of it is exfoliating. The biggest thing to happen to Vandy sports since Dan McGugin.

Webster's defines "Gritty" as "Courageously Persistent or Plucky". These two gentlemen and their kitty are as plucky as they come. Trevor's relentless and often misguided optimism balanced by Will's calmness and existensial threat of Commodore dread form the greatest podcast on God's green earth. The haters and non-BeLeavers (of which there are many within and outside of the Vanderbilt fan base) want you to think that there are is no light at the end of the tunnel for Vanderbilt Athletics. I am a total TDR addict. Will and Trevor bring the energy, enthusiasm, and insight every episode. They are true fans in every sense of the word. I’d listen to them every day if I could.

A super produced podcast by a man who looks like he lives in a fraternity house still at 27 and his friend who got granted a make-a-wish to talk about vandy sports to people. Only listen if prepared for Trevor to never know how to use levels in a mic or use an inside voice. After Saturday I’m just hoping he’s wearing pants under that table

Why listen to this podcast when you can simply play in traffic. Any person that subjects themselves to listening to anyone talk about Vanderbilt sports is a sad, lonely, deranged individual. You should listen to KY Sports Radio instead. Go BIG Blue!

These guys are very easy to relate to for the common Vandy fan. Dore Report is growing so highly recommend for every vandy sports fan.
