After University, Sultan was struggling to find a graduate scheme due to a lack of work experience. He had bills to pay and had to find a job to make ends meet. Working jobs he had no passion for, he sought a way out. Then Merky came into the picture. His brother told him about this amazing initiative getting young black talent into the sports Industry! Growing up, Sultan didn’t have access to channels like Disney, so he spent his time watching football and free sports programmes like TES Match Cricket. Sultan translated his passion for sports into his application to the Merky programme, and it was clear to all of us at DIVERSE that he was perfect for #Merky FC! Meet Ayo. Ayo is a massive Liverpool FC fan. One day he picked up his sister's laptop and started messing around with photoshop, designing football edits. Ayo decided to venture into freelance graphic design, where he poured his heart into crafting a standout portfolio. He eventually received an unconditional offer to study Graphic Design at University. His work did not go unnoticed. Enter #Merky FC, the game-changer. Ayo seized the opportunity and wowed the DIVERSE team, earning himself a coveted spot at KSS, a top architecture and design firm renowned for its sports venues.
