Guys, I’m really enjoying this new format. Sure, I enjoy Magic, but I also enjoy video games, soup, good music, and carrying things in my pocket. There are plenty of places that I can go to get the most up-to-date info on Magic sets and formats, but where else can I find out just how great The Fugitive is? Count me in as a supporter of the show’s new direction.

Late to the life adulting shift in tone from previously niche Magic the Gathering podcast. The one thing they actually were subject matter experts on has been abandoned for the exploration of being a grown-up. As banal as listening to your co-workers discuss their heavy drinking and binging on media.

Dredge was my first modern deck bc of the old episode where Shane and the lads did a deep dive. His enthusiasm regarding the deck sold me on it, and I loved playing modern for the first time. I’ve listened to every episode since, and even though the content is shifting, I still really enjoy any time you guys talk about Magic. Thanks for the hours of entertainment!

I used to love this show but they’ve gone away from their roots and everything that made them unique. It’s not really The Dive Down anymore

The only MTG podcast I’ve been able to get into. Genuinely enjoy each episode and look forward to new releases. I do wish for a little more focus on whatever format the RCQ season is but I do know that wasn’t the foundation of the pod.

Entertaining and enlightening. This podcast should be in every active magic players rotation. They hit on all of the relevant current events and topics.

My favorite MTG show hands down…I don’t know what any of you look like, but I’ve always imagined everyone recording in Brooks Brothers shirts and khakis….after hearing you all try to pronounce the names of your favorite tacos nothing changed except the khakis are now pleated

This show is that guilty pleasure that you know doesn’t makes sense but you do it anyway. It’s fascinating hearing about the world of constructed magic as someone who only plays limited. I’ve been drafting since 2006 but have never played constructed and have no plans to. Really enjoy hearing the speculation, metagaming theroys, deck choices, ban list thoughts, and how modern changes with new cards. Maybe one day I’ll put some draft chaff together and made a modern deck, but they also say you can rent cards? Renting cardboard? Who knew? Constructed is a strange place and one I’ll continue to avoid, but these guys are amusing and I like the peek behind the screen into a world I knew existed but never ventured into. Loyal listener since around episode 190 but who’s counting. Ps. Now I have liked and commented, you win.

I’ve faithfully listened to this podcast since around episode 50. Easily the best modern mtg podcast and one of the best overall magic podcasts.

I don’t even play MTG anymore, but I still listen.

The Divedown was incredible before, but after the addition of Devon O’Donnell, aka d00mwake, the show is now my #1 listened to Podcast. I think the diverse views from the team offer spice, thoughtfulness, babies, and unique perspectives you can’t get just reading articles. Their comedic relief, dulcet smooth voices, and broad cultural palettes offer a soothing balm to an unrefined storm of reality. I love hearing about their love of Heavy Play gear, and their editing skills are top tier. If you’re going to listen to one Magic centric podcast, consider this one to be the one-stop, cool kids shop for detailed decks, trends, and entertainment. I am just waiting for them to break into MTG Tournament commentary to cement themselves as the titans of the scene.

This show is great for anyone who likes modern magic. Devin coming on has been an awesome addition as well! I really enjoy the “sleeve believe heave” section of the show. The dive down also doesn’t jump on bandwagons quickly or often, so it’s nice to actually here discussions of decks while the internet is losing it over the emergency ban of the week.

I don’t play modern nor pioneer yet I listen to this podcast. The hosts are fine but not sure why I keep listening. That Devon guy is cool.

I’ve basically been listening to Magic Podcasts and only Magic Podcasts for a while, and truly, I forgot Podcasts can be both educational AND entertaining. These guys are funny and good hosts, and the episodes certainly don’t feel as long as they actually are. Would recommend to anyone who wants to keep up with the competitive scene.

This is the essential podcast for the casual spike.

I’ve been listening to these guys since their first released. They started as three collective men of the people, and now—-now I listen to them while I slave away at dishes at 11:30 at night while my 18 month old attempts to pull out kitchen knives from the washer that I just previously put in the washing machine. The custom patreon gifts is top notch. They bought specialized deck-boxes in the hundreds to put in optimized spots in their homes and risked their marriages to give us these items. That’s not just a deck box you’re getting people, that’s hope. You wouldn’t even know that one of the hosts broadcasts from his closet in fear while the other has his future divorced bachelor pad to talk about magic. As an audiophile, I really appreciate the dedication these men provide. I personally was one of those magic players that never showered until I discovered Barrister & Mann. Now I smell like lavender and have a neckbeard that rivals Reid Dukes head of hair. Get this product. If you want the knowledge of Jarvis Yu with the good looks of Corey Baumeister whispering into your ear about a child’s card game…look no further than the Dive Down.

Really enjoy listening to The Dive Down to get a better, more diverse, analysis on metas and decks in modern and some insight on pioneer. When the team also gets to have guests that are specialized are incredibly insightful. Great job guys and keep it up!

The Dive Down is just an excellent way to stay connected to Magic. You’ll learn how to play with and against the latest Modern/Pioneer decks and metagame. These guys make me feel like I have a fighting chance, even if I might spend more time listening to their show than I get to spend playing events. It doesn't hurt that the hosts are just good friends with a passion for their hobby. Also, they know they could talk about soap and still be entertaining, so sometimes they just do. Keep up the great work, guys.

I’ve been playing Magic for roughly 9 months now. This podcast has taught me so much about the world of Magic, competitive playing and format/deck types. I love the podcast, I barely get a chance to play anything aside from commander due to work/life schedule. But I love listening to you guys and staying informed.

This is the best competitive Magic podcast I’ve listened to, and the one I look forward to most each week. It strikes the perfect balance of spikiness and casualness. My only warning to potential listeners is to beware the deck specialist interview episodes. They have resulted in me buying into no fewer than four modern decks: Amulet Titan, Indomitable Creativity, Burn, and Living End. Thankfully, for my bank account’s sake, no one can make a Pioneer deck sound fun.
