This podcast is filled with incredible reporting, fair analysis, and compelling commentary. It has enabled me to preserve the idea that my conservative positions are still sane and humane during this descent of the Republican Party into madness. More Megan McArdle please!

Can’t recommend this show enough. They cover relevant topics, with sound rational debate. The hosts are witty and intelligent, and they don’t get caught up in partisan garbage. I rarely miss an episode.

The Dispatch pod is an incredible and entertaining news source. They leave room for real debate on pressing topics. They give me hope by proving it’s still possible to responsibly report and interpret news and govt.

We can just agree that the Magats are still in charge if this podcast.

I felt like I was taking crazy pills for a long time before I found the Dispatch. A one-line refrain commonly heard on the podcast which resonates with me to this day: “at some point a political party is going to realize that good governance is the way to stay in office. I eagerly look forward to that day.”

Can’t resist sounding sanctimonious and obtuse about the issue of immigration. So no matter what the president accomplishes he can not be given credit because…we don’t like him. Williamson thinks he sounds smart and funny but at this point he just sounds bitter Disappointing that the “mean girl” spirit was out in this one. And the guys didn’t address a lot of the substance or the value of looking at people in the eye when communicating major changes. And no one has said Trump is perfect, but staring at impeachments, imprisonment, and bankruptcy from your political enemies and winning a presidential election should earn him a little “battle” street cred. The one with Johnathan Martin- nothing insightful said I’ve been pretty rough on this group, but the ep with Williamson, Stirewalt and Mcardle was very good. Interesting, moved along well, Jonah was funny. Good stuff. Rivaled a good Editors podcast this time. Steve is meandering again on that Iraq syndrome podcast. Jonah, the “remnanty preening” has gotten out of hand. And I say this from my own experience with partners, David and Steve will keep pulling you down into a struggling enterprise. The little “flagship” beef with Sarah should have also clued you in. No one is asking you to be Seb Gorka, but use your knowledge and background to stand for what is really right and not some weird “I am the only one who can identify the dangers” routine. Seriously get out of this quagmire.

Smart, thoughtful conversations from good-faith journalists. Happens to be entertaining & a good time too.

This used to be a good show but has consistently turned into a weekly standard Trump (or replace with Republicans) rant. I get it, but here’s a tip: have a point, and maybe start with what is working (or is positive) then add to it. Just not a productive use of time to listen self therapeutic whining for an hour. Reminds me of kids complaining about how bad school is.

The Dispatch has quickly vaulted to the top of my podcast listening priority. They talk about real issues in an informed manner. Couldn’t recommend more

The Dispatch Roundtable is one of my favorite podcasts. Everything the Dispatch does is really great. Thoughtful objective discussion and reporting and they all have fun doing it! It simply doesn’t get any better. Plus the bumper Music is my favorite. Don’t let another week go by without subscribing and don’t miss an episode.

I listen because the conservative right about 45% of American population as is the left. Steve’s Hayes is the intelligent moderator of the show, David French is the bleeding heart conservative whom is overly agreeable until topic reaches his red line where he won’t concede (I like that side more) Kevin Williamson is not the creator of Dawson Creek, but seems like the wealth boss of the group has some insightful perspectives but greatly misunderstands the left, but unlike on his pod the remnant where he seems to just talk on a wide array of topics often times with passion and incredible ability to keep engaged, I am so put off when he flexes his pundit muscles .

Reliable, enjoyable, and useful content. I look forward to each episode.

Helps me make sense of politics and news with nuanced, thoughtful discussion. For those of us with no political home, the Dispatch feels like a safehouse!

This is a great listen. I don’t have time to read my news and this is a nice way to stay current while I’m folding laundry or cooking dinner. The panelists are great. I love the Dispatch regulars but it’s a special treat when Megan McArdle is on. She always has an interesting perspective.

Take a deep dive into current events with this podcast. Actually listen to discussions and not arguments. For those who want better information.

I’m a liberal and listen to The Dispatch to get a balance of viewpoints. Do I agree with them, no, but at least I’m not pulling my hair out. Reasoned takes on the news not just gut reactions. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear the other side of the argument.

Trustworthy, thorough coverage which never carries water for the left or the right.

If you want thoughtful, genuine, intellectual and intellectually honest analysis of whatever is in the news this is the place to get it. This is the one news podcast I listen to every episode of. Drop the dross of outrage fueled news and listen to this instead. Serious when appropriate but uplifting when they can be, the Dispatch is always worth a listen.

The dispatch is honest, thoughtful, engaging, and peaceful. In a world that feels like it’s going off the rails, it’s encouraging to hear folks who ask us to look higher and think harder; even we just need to hope, cry, or be angry. These guys get it and I listen to every episode. Keep doing the work guys.

I am a 77 year-old life-long Democrat and political junkie who happened upon the Dispatch when I became disaffected with the identity politics of the left. I never knew conservatives could be so likable! The lighthearted rapport between the reporters is enjoyable to listen to. The reporting is trustworthy and opinions are respectfully presented. These conservatives are so intellectually honest (not afraid to acknowledge the truth about Trump) and I agree with them so much more than the progressives. I love the “ not worth your time” segment which lightens the mood after discussions of often troubling news. I highly recommend this podcast to those who say they can’t support either party!

Of all the news and opinion available these days it’s difficult to find smart commentary. You may or may not agree with all that is offered by The Dispatch, but it is honest, smart and sane. And that’s a lot in a world where there are limitless axes to grind.

The political news podcast I look forward to listening to the most. I like the new format with round table episodes at the beginning and end of each week.

This podcast has some excellent political analysis no matter what your perspective might be. I don’t see too much else available that plays it down the middle. The Dispatch is run by conservatives but I think the content is not tilted to conservatives.

The best political show. The hosts keep it fun, and more importantly, are equal opportunity abusers of politicians of all stripes.

In my life I voted for: Bush Kerry Obama Romney Clinton (really just against Trump) Biden (again just against Trump) These folks are tapping a market for someone like me who will vote republican and is dissatisfied because MAGA is NOT republican. If you dislike the DSA as much as MAGA this is for you.

My personal politics are to the left the Dispatch. But the opinions voiced on the dispatch podcast are informed by facts and reached through common sense, rationality, and empathy. Whenever I need get outside the bubble of my own media echo chamber I turn here.

Can’t go wrong with the Dispatch, or really anything with Dispatch Media. There are things I’ve disagreed with at times but I’ve never been one to think the hosts are saying something that they haven’t reasoned through if it’s on a divisive topic.

I’ve been an avid listener for years now. I don’t always agree with the views expressed, but I very much agree with the intellectual honesty and depth with which views are expressed. Unlike other centrist outlets it doesn’t feel like they are out to get any particular politician and willing to debate issues on their merits. I’m thankful for Steve and Jonah and the entire establishment of The Dispatch.

I’ve been listening to all of the dispatch podcasts for the last couple of years. They are voices of sanity among people who’ve gone off the deep end in either direction. I appreciate their approach, which focuses on facts and political reality but is not too pessimistic. No one on the podcast likes the current state of our politics, but they also are not hyperbolic. It’s often pretty funny too. There’s a deep well of talent that the Dispatch draws from for its lineup, but I especially like when either Sarah lsgur or Megan McArdle are on! Or ideally both. I do appreciate the guys too though… It’s always fun when it’s the original crew of Steve, Jonah, Sarah and David. Listening to this podcast makes it feel like you’re among friends having a smart, clear-eyed political conversation in a world where it feels like that doesn’t happen anymore.

This is my can't miss weekly podcast. True journalism, right of center politically. I was so encouraged to find this podcast because I didn't know that were true conservatives pushing back against the craziness in TrumpLand

Seriously, just get Stirewalt on as often as possible. I appreciate the idea of the Dispatch but there is a real lack of both levity and balls and strikes calling on some episodes that converted me from an always listener and paid subscriber to a rare listener with a cancelled subscription. This lineup Warren, Jonah, Stirewalt and Steve and / or Sarah would make me resubscribe in an instant. Williamson and French and a few of the others are just so brutally self-satisfied, depressing scolds and too clever by half. Please, I beg you, more of this. I’m not saying don’t be thoughtful, I’m not saying don’t be critical just don’t be so God awful depressing, dull and sanctimonious. But most of all, MORE STIREWALT.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to share the wealth of information with friends and family. Just today, I had a great discussion with my 16-year-old grandson about some thorny issues. Your example of good cheer and careful listening is something I follow when exploring opposing viewpoints. Now, for a mid-century modern take on aspic and other gelled treats (?) look up Charles Phoenix, the king of kitsch. You will be amused, you will be horrified, and you will thank me, all at the same time.

Absolutely must listen every week. High quality analysis and great fun.

This is on my necessarily short list of must hear podcasts. Rarely do I skip ahead, even when Steve picks the “Not Worth Your Time” topics…

If you’re bewildered by the illiberal populists dominating both parties, the Dispatch provides a welcome respite. I found them when I was feeling increasingly alienated by both parties and highly recommend them to anyone looking for, or trying to understand, what might be called the center-right (or conservative classical liberalism).

Always pragmatic, non blowhard analysis. If the majority of Americans listed to, and read the dispatch, we’d all be in a much better place.

This is a “must listen to” podcast! Honest and refreshing take on the topics! Highly recommended!
