I love that this podcast continually comes back to God’s care for widows and orphans. Unlike other organizations, Lifeline emphasizes the many many ways church members can be a part of care for kids… even if they themselves don’t adopt or foster. I’m so encouraged to think of the many ways in which my family (and even my little kids!) can be a part of ministry in this way!!

I really value this podcast, as we pray and discern about adoption...The podcast is focused on God, His calling, and is biblically sound. Great info, super helpful. I love hearing about each program and from the program points. But one request: I’d really love to hear more from families. We are in the trenches of trying to hear Gods voice, and would love to hear encouragement and experience from those who have gone before us in this process. How they heard and were led, their fears and how God met them in it, challenges they experience now that they are waiting or home and how God has been there too! Thank you Lifeline for all you do for the glory of God and we pray for strength and encouragement and the ability to stand firm! Blessings!

I discovered The Defender Podcast when praying about adoption. I was able to listen to helpful podcast episodes that educated me about the adoption process and about the China program. They were such a blessing! Two years later as we near travel, I continue to appreciate the podcasts. Thank you Herbie Newel and the Lifeline family!

Your podcast on failed adoptions brought me to my knees as my husband and I just moved back to America after a failed adoption over our son! We have needed to just hear something that lets us know our feelings are ok. We do not know anyone that has been through it. We too will be ok with Gods grace. We struggle deciding to keep going or to stop the adoption journey because of pain but Gods visions is still so strong on our hearts. It is just difficult to visualize another child in our sons spot. Thank you for doing what you do!

I enjoy the variety this podcast offers. From weekly Bible study and call to prayer to interviews with parents of adoptive children. The numerous countries that Lifeline impacts is amazing. A great resource for all parents.

This podcast primarily deals with how Christians and the church are called in the area of orphan care, but it is so much more than that. It details how we once were orphaned from our Heavenly Father and how with a price we were paid for and rescued. This podcast constantly preaches that what is impossible with man, is possible with God, and the faith that can move mountains is abundantly clear. Great ministry, encouragement, and common sense throughout the episodes.

I enjoy the Monday Bible study and prayer.

The Defender Podcast is a great resource for foster and adoptive parents and also for the Church as a whole. Lifeline is a ministry rooted in scripture and has a commitment to equipping Christians and the Church to effectively care or orphaned and vulnerable children in their local communities and all over the world. I am grateful for this resource among many others that Lifeline provides.

This is a great way for you to hear from leaders in the orphan care spectrum about how you can care for the vulnerable in your community and around the world. I have been so encouraged by the content shared here!

I'm a Lifeline parent. We adopted 2013 and have started the process again, expecting to bring another daughter home from China in 2018. Lifeline ministered to us from day 1, having prayer over the phone even when we called timidly about an info packet. Five years later, the podcast is the latest way they are ministering to families and advocating for orphans. This podcast will speak to your heart. The Holy Spirit is using Lifeline in a mighty way.
