Great Game Dev Podcast!
Hi quality podcast and informative interviews.

Game dev from many angles
Fantastic coverage of game dev from indie to AAA, artist to dev, mobile to cloud, game design to company politics. Love the theme, can you guys release a full track to pump me up when I’m getting sleepy on the road?

*eye roll*
Was an ok podcast when they covered game development, but it has recently devolved into poorly parroting tone deaf Marxist propaganda.

The big game dev brothers you never had
As someone who is trying to get into the industry, this podcast has a lot of value. Great discussions, great personalities. Thanks, guys!

Best podcast
This is without a doubt one of the best podcast I’ve ever came across. It’s very informative and the interviews are great, laid back yet still professional. I’ve listened non stop every day on my way to and from work for a couple months now and it always helps me get motivated when in a slump. Keep doing what you do because we need some more episodes!

Solid mix of design and technical details
I've listened to a lot of game development podcasts over the years. While most of them come in an interview format and slightly smaller amount come in a pure design format, very few try to describe in detail various implementation strategies and technical bits of information. I was very happy to see Debug Log go into the mud on that topic!
They are also incredibly polite to their community, which is appreciated.
One suggestion I would give to them is to organize their time on air a little bit better. They seem to follow a general script just fine, but as episodes progress on they can get a bit messy and disorganized. The podcast would improve a fair bit if they had a strict plan for introducing the episode's topic (like, the first 10-15 minutes) in a very clear educational bullet point by bullet point manner and then go back to their usual loose structure for the remainder of the discussion. It might help the hosts too, as setting down consistent guidelines and definitions at the beginning could clear miscommunication later in the episode.

Helpful knowledge and inspiration for game devs
I've been trying to learn Unity for a while and now I'm at the point in learning where I feel ready to start making my own games. I listen to your podcast almost every morning and it both inspires and motivates me to continue the development of my game ideas, as well as giving me knowledge that I need for future games. So thank you for helping me out.

Great Podcast, Great Crew
I've been listening for a while on my commute during my day job and really loving the podcast. I've still got a lot to catch up on, but every time I think I've a handle on the scope of the podcast, you guys come in with something new and awesome.
At first I was just going through the general discussion episodes, which were informative and entertaining to listen to and packed with good advice. Then I hit the design pattern episodes, which as an entirely self-taught programmer (basically learned from some quick tutorials and MS/Unity documentation) taught me things I never would have thought of (special thanks to Eduardo for those!). Finally, I've listened to some of the interviews, which gave me even more insight into the industry. I love it all!
I've been working part time in the games industry for years, mostly as tech support. It's tough work and not even close to what I want to be doing, and I've had to work an additional full time job during the day to cover my bills. But thanks to resources like The Debug Log, I'm finally taking the plunge and making games on my own. I just finished my first game, and hope to work on the game that finally lets me quit my day job next.
Thanks for everything you guys do, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for The Debug Log.
P.S. I'd really love to see a Discord server for TDL as I'm not a big Facebook user.

Most Enjoyable Game Dev Podcast Out There
You guys are fantastic! I've been listening for awhile but finally downloaded iTunes just to give you a review. I'm slowly transitioning from software development to games and your podcasts have been a huge help in keeping my motivation going for my side projects. Looking forward to your future podcasts, keep up the good work!

Favorite current podcast
I've recently discovered this podcast while looking for game development podcasts to listen to on my commute to/from work. I burned through the backlog in a couple months. Although I'm not developing games in Unity (I'm wiriting a game in Java w/ LibGDX), much of the content has been universally valuable. I've really enjoyed the episodes on design patterns. Keep up the excellent work. Looking forward to the nest episode.

The Best Podcast
I listen to a lot of software engineering and developer content via podcasts and this is hands down the most enjoyable one in my list. I am a casual hobbyist game developer and the thorough discussions mixed with great personalities in this show really get the game dev vibes flowing. It’s honestly hard to listen to this show and not instinctively fire up Unity. :) Keep it up team, you guys rock!

Show love to the SDET & QA Engineer
The Debug Log is a great show, however, I do have a suggestion.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who doesn't work in the game industry, I would love to hear from SDETs or QA Engineers in the game industry. These professions are an integral part of game development but are heard from the least.
I would appreciate it if they were able to tell their story and share experiences on your show.
Thank you guys and keep the great shows coming.

Excellent content, good production, great personalities
I just recently picked up Unity and gamedev as a hobby and was searching some industry podcasts to learn some best practices and tips. While I was initally afraid I would be out of my depth due to my experience, the Debug Log has an excellent back catalog filled with episodes going over some basic general topics (e.g. source control, some design patterns, etc) as well deep dives of current games and topics. While the content is excellent, I'm also very impressed with both the playful banter of the hosts, their perspective and the production values overall. Looking forward to listening to it all!

Interesting personalities and useful topic points
It's always a joy to listen to The Debug Log in the car. They provide some great insights into the game development world and help create motivation to work on my side projects

Best Game Dev Podcast Around!
The quality and consistency of this podcast is second to none. So many game dev podcasts suffer from akward conversations and poor production values. The Debug Log is the complete opposite and does a wonderful job of mixing technical topics with design concepts, and the group host dynamic allows for a variety of views and experiences to be shared. Keep up the good work guys, I'd love to hear some post-Unity Unite roundups in the future.

So good, like really good
I love how you guys are mixing it up with the design pattern talks. I was inspired to go full tilt observer pattern on a micro site/app I was starting and it was a great challenge and now I know the pros and cons of Observer.

Engaging & captivating
As an aspiring and beginning game developer the debug log keeps me motivated to continue working on my projects and informs me on a multitude of various aspects of game dev, especially in the context of unity. When I find myself feeling burnt out with waning motivation I load up an episode and an hour later have centered myself to continue plugging through the common frustrations devs experience. It's like medicine for my productivity. If there were one thing I could change it would be to put out episodes more often. Maybe that's a testament to my addiction to this podcast. I would pay $50 a month for a daily episode of this podcast; however, I fear it may diminish the quality of each episode being shackled to the expectations of digital capitalism. In the meantime I'll finish binging & repeating past episodes while I salivate in hopeful anticipation that today may be the day that they release a new episode (episodes are released regularly, but there's never enough lines of debug log to cut up for the late night party group). If you're still reading this review & haven't begun listening , your first mistake is that you haven't enabled your podcast addiction and satisfied your inner game dev pod cast craving. I almost feel bad for how much value I receive considering I pay nothing for this. I will definitely throw some bones via patreon. You guys are amazing and I hope to chat with you over beers at next years gdc. Also, y'all are funny as hell. Don't change anything, unless it means more episodes with >= quality.

Great Content, Fun Time...
Really awesome content with some great and funny hosts that keep it fun while still being informative. Awesome job, only request is I hate Apple and iTunes. Please get your show on Spotify!

Fun and informative
This is the only podcast that I have continued to listen to for more than 3 episodes. A lot of great information and extremely fun to listen to. (I may have laughed out loud by myself in the car on multiple occasions) I have listened to many of the episodes multiple times to help reinforce the ideas discussed.

Great Series
I love this in general. I look up a lot of stuff on my own for the most part and know a lot of the topics you all cover. But every once and a while you all will drop a super gem that make listening to the 50+ mins to hear that one comment that took 10secs worth it! Thanks and keep it up! Also I found you guys by a google search. I'm a mobile game developer. When I go to the gym and work out I listen to you guys instead of pump music that's how you know the love is real! Been listening for about 6weeks now but just now wrote a review sorry lol

One of the Best
I started listening to the Debug Log because my son and I werer using Unity to learn game development. This is the best programming podcast I have listened to and the regular episodes help keep me and my son motivated in our game devleopment journey. I know how much work this can be and really appreciate the podcast and effort. Keep them coming. I am sure this will inspire the next generation of great games.

Personable and informative!
I just wanted to thank you for all the episodes and hard work put into this show. I've been working on a passion project for almost 2.5 years, and I've spent many hours in that time listening to podcasts covering many disciplines. The best ones are those that balance being super informative with being very approachable and friendly, and TDL fits that perfectly. Even if I'm not interested in a particular subject, I still listen to every episode because it just feels like hanging out with knowledgeable game dev colleagues over lunch. Keep it up, and I'm bummed that I missed you guys at Unite LA - I was exhibiting Invisigun in the Made with Unity hall! Thanks again for making my one-man team feel larger than it is over the past couple of years!

Great Podcast For Any Indie Dev or Purveyor of Games
Look, there are some 9,000,000 podcasts out there that you could be listening to. But why waste your time with dry, stuffy nonsense when you can listen to these guys‽ Entertaining, valuable information presented by some hoopy froods, the Debug Log keeps me company almost every day on my way home from work.
I'm currently working on my first game, enjoying the hurdles of it all and learning a boatload along the way. When Labyrintheer is complete, the Debug Log is going to get inspirational credit for keeping me motivated.

Fantastic Series
For whatever reason, every podcast on the topic of Game Design/Development seems to die off pretty quickly. Episode quality goes down and publication becomes less frequent. That is definitely not the case with TDL - they're at almost 60 regularly published episodes at the time of writing.
The one thing I genuinely appreciate about TDL's format is that it is not just a bunch of guys spewing information as if they were facts. Every segment is a discussion, including the interviews. They each have opinions on the topics that they discuss, and they don't always agree - but I can always end an episode with enough information to either form my own opinions or research the topic further.
I'd highly recommend listening if you haven't already.

They put effort into this podcast
The episodes vary in length and format sometimes too, always done with consideration and educational.
I would like to hear an episode that breaks down the issues with working with Unity lightmapping (customizing) and different ways to work with lightmapping in Unity. It is the one reason I consider moving to Unreal.

Excellent, Very Helpful!
I listen while driving truck over the road. It's great and I highly recommend! I'm able to listen 6-8 hrs a day, and then in my off time learning Unity and visual scripting with PlayMaker. Keep up the great work guys!

Developing Every Episode
I subscribe to many podcasts, but this is one of the best for developers. As a Unity developer of my first title (Aloft), each episodes content is as if I requested it myself. Fresh, relevant and always engaging, never stop what you're doing. 5 stars, well deserved!

good trending better
good group of devs . it's a little tailored towards new unity/game dev but they are starting to go a smidge more technical. will be a lot better when they go more technical or start another podcast that is for more advanced. good job overall.

Awesome cast!
Keep churning them out guys, almost caught up.

Complete Inspiration!!!
Before finding this podcast, I spent a lot of time searching for a podcast about game development, specifically indie dev, but only came up short because either the Podcasts I found were poor quality or only made a couple of episodes. These gentlemen lay out the basic "ins and outs" of game dev with a practical approach. Their format is very relaxed and flows pretty well, but they get an interview (which they have a few really good ones) they will button-up and treat the interview with a professional manner. Listening to these guys, I can imagine sitting down with and just relaxing with a cold one and playing some rowdy matches of Rocket League. This podcast has given me a huge boost of inspiration to start on my dream of game dev.

The Perfect Blend
From the moment I found this podcast, I have been listening non stop ( I'm sad to say that I'm almost caught up only because it means that I can't keep getting my daily dose). By far this is the best podcast on Unity and indie game development that I have found. I love the optomistic attitude you all have and your excitement is contagious! If you want a podcast to get you excited about game development, this is the place for you. Thanks guys!

Great mix of banter and gamedev insight
I’ve really enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm with this group. I’m not currently using Unity, but continue to get a lot out of the conversation and experiences shared by this group. Awesome addition to my commute playlist… and I’m still just catching up on the backlog!

By far the best podcast about Unity that I have heard so far. If you are new to Unity this is an invaluable resource. Also good for nerd comedy.
Keep up the great work Debug Log!

Great show!
Super informative and insightful. Even if you're not a developer and just love games, this show will give you a look at what developers consider when creating.

Really fun podcast
I’m really enjoying “The Debug Log.” I’m not a game dev — just a data scientist — but I love hearing about this different kind of programming. Best parts of this podcast though are : (1) the hosts all “get along” (banter, but get along), (2) really interesting content and interviews, with a good mix between the two, (3) I like when they forget their own twitter names, etc., and (4) maybe the best podcast intro music ever. Plus, I’m an Atlanta native, so I can’t say that I am not partial to the sound of the non-southern but yet still regional “Atlanta accent"

Amazing
As someone who has only scratched the surface when it comes to development, this is a wonderful podcast. It makes me feel confident in what I do know, and like I need to know way more, all at the same time. Keep it coming!

Energizing and informative
A great podcast that flows really well. I usually listen to podcasts about sports so this is outside of my comfort zone, but the chemistry and upbeat attitudes of the guys keep me coming back for more. 5/5
