On this special "politics-free" edition of the show, Dave welcomes longtime friend and amazing writer Jenna Stocker to talk all things Christmas. As the conversation unfolds, Jenna shares stories from her own childhood Christmases and talks about the traditions and values she is imparting to her own children in the hope that they will hold on to the memories and the lessons that will enrich their young lives beyond measure. It's a heartwarming podcast that also includes a touch of mischief before concluding with a rather poignant essay Dave wrote on Christmas Eve 2011, from the cab of his 18 wheeler at a truck stop on a distant highway. It's been an amazing and radiant weekend as Ricochet people from as far away as Califorian and Michigan arrived in Panama City Beach, Florida for a meetup and a show. Though all good things must come to an end, the warmth of genuine friendships and exhilarating conversation that infused the gathering remains in the minds and hearts of the attendees.  To make matters even more interesting, our own Dave Carter teamed up with NewsTalk@101FM's powerhouse host, Brian Rust, to record a special edition of the Dave Carter Show for Ricochet and Talk Radio listeners alike at the resplendent Harrison's Kitchen & Bar in downtown Panama City. Highlights of the show included compelling interviews with local historian Bob Hurst, Ricochet Member and military historian Brady Kiel, and Ricochet Contributor Susan Quinn. As Dave and Brian talked with their guests, the conversation explored the vital links between an unflenching knowledge of history, the willingness to apply that knowledge to all aspects of civil society from education to national defense, and the critical necessity of carrying an historical perspective, as opposed to the latest ideological fads, into the voting booth.  As you might expect, Dave and Brian punctuated the show with generous servings of laughs and good spirits, making the event quite compelling and mischievously entertaining as you will hear for yourself in this high-energy, captivating, rollicking and live edition of the Dave Carter Show
