Today, we’re in Week 4 a 6-week series that Darrell taught on the Gospel of John in 1996 at Glendale Presbyterian Church in California, and stepping into one of Darrell’s most beloved parts of Scripture. John has long been a favourite of his—he’s spent decades returning to it, teaching it, and inviting others to encounter Jesus through its pages.
In this message from John 4, Darrell continues to reflect on the woman at the well as the first great witness to Jesus—someone whose encounter with Christ overflowed into invitation: “Come and see.” He explores how genuine evangelism isn’t forced, but flows naturally from a life transformed by Jesus’ love and dignity. Darrell suggests we are living in times of renewed openness, where people are searching for something more. Ultimately, he invites us to keep the focus on Jesus, share our own story, and trust that the good news will overflow as we ourselves are filled with living water.
