New favorite!
I love the insights, the research, and the personal way the ladies relate. I love the compassion around such sensitive stories. I love that there is a cause attached that support victim’s families. Plus the banter makes me laugh. Please keep up the good work!

Please enough with the side banter
The cases are super interesting but the facts and story itself get lost in the side convos that never seem to stop. I don't care how this relates to that one time that one thing happened to you! Tell the damn story!

Love love love you ladies!
Insightful and powerful stories, told kindly and compassionately. I love that there is a mission to the podcast as well, so it’s not just to satisfy our need for stories. To the people critical of the their personal opinions occasionally aired: grown women are allowed to have and express their opinions. Get over it. I don’t always agree with them. I don’t believe in God- they do, but so what? They don’t ask you to agree. Lastly, sorry Cynthia, I would rate abrasive a 4 out of 5 on the harshness scale. Abrasive is not how I would want to be described. See, I disagreed but I still love ya!😉 Keep doing what you’re doing!❤️

Great Causes! 5⭐️s
First, I want to say that I truly love that these women are true to their beliefs. Donating to organizations that support victims is the BEST idea for putting your money where your mouth is! If we can all be entertained by these tragic stories truly the least we can do is donate to the causes that do anything to make this world a better place.
I’m not sure what point to make second. I guess I have a list in no particular order. As far as politics, well, they are a part of so much we do. Can’t we all just admit that both sides are mostly evil and once in a while they trip over something that does some good? And we all know where we stand in the grand scheme of things so are you saying you can’t even tolerate hearing the other side for a few minutes on a podcast? I have to say some do go overboard, but I don’t believe these women are in that category. As far as everything else, great job! There is some squeakiness to voices sometimes but it is typically while speaking emotionally or nervously, etc. and I certain we all do it.
Creating a podcast, writing a story, promoting a worthy cause, making huge investments of time, soul and finances is something to be commended. GREAT JOB!!!
By the way, you have pulled my heart strings enough to donate to your causes many times, but I’m just going to join the Patreon where I can give to 2 great causes at once. Thank you for the way you allow your hearts to lead the way.

Good topics and banter
Update 9.12.25: gotta say, the intro 'hello shiver, seekers' is consistently back to the way it once was. Without the shrill. Yay! 😊
Update 6.18.25 I'm listening to the latest episode and they address the poor quality of virtual recordings and are working on it. I'm so glad.
I like the way they interact with one another. I generally like the cases they pick, and how they are respectful in their coverage. Especially if it's a not a case with a lot of coverage already.
I like that they donate a portion of their profits to a themed organization each month.
And this last thing should definitely be taken with a grain of salt because I may be in the minority. Lol. I love that they say 'Welcome, shiver seekers'. But the hostess who says this has become more squeaky and pitchy (almost shrill) with it overtime and it is like nails on a freaking chalkboard to me. Just use your regular voice like you used to lol. Again, I may be alone on it and it definitely would NOT keep me from the show at all. I do have to fast forward past it though.
I have listened to every episode. Glad you are here!

Relatable and fun to listen
I love you girls so much! This podcast is funny, smart, relatable, evokes curiosity and yet sensitive to the topics. You are easy to listen to and I absolutely love the podcast. Thanks for using your voice and platform for good.

My New Favorite
The title says it all. Research based, victim-focused, no inane chit chat that has become the mainstay - and dare I say downfall - of most other true crime podcasts. I love these gals.

Absolutely love this
Most of the true crime podcasts I listen to literally put me to sleep.
Both of you have such a bubbly personality which makes it so much more enjoyable. Of course I may be a little biased. We love you Cynthia! So proud of you!

Tell me your politics without telling me your politics
Was hoping that the podcast would stick to the general rule for teachers-no religion, politics, and personal bias should be showing. Bring facts and info. Alas, nope.

Fantastic!!!
This podcast is truly fantastic. They are a dynamic duo with just the right combination of banter, humor, seriousness and well researched information. I recommend joining their Patreon group too. While they don’t have a large catalog on there yet I am happy to support these wonderful ladies as they pursue their dream of presenting well researched cases with the respect the victims and their loved ones deserve. Listen….you won’t regret it!

One of my Faves!
I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Good stories, told with respect and sensitivity to victims and their families. Just listened to the Thai Cave Rescue episode, so uplifting and inspiring. Much appreciated, especially with the world around us seemingly landing in the proverbial hand-basket.

My new favorite cohost podcast!
I love these girls! I heard them for the first time on a Christmas collab that they did and I find myself binging(as much as a homeschooling mom of 3 can!). I love podcasts with 2 hosts and how they act with each other and these 2 are awesome. So much fun! I even find myself laughing out loud with them sometimes. I love the way that they cover cases with respect and if something is going to be a little “brutal” they warn the audience. Keep it up, girls!

A Voice for the Voiceless!

Very well presented and researched
The hosts present the stories in a very interesting format. They tackle a lot of stories that are not on other podcasts. However, I have one suggestion, please for the love of God stop your conversations with the word like and sure it is so annoying. It makes me cringe every time I hear, and I can’t focus on the story.
It’s me, Dee
Thank you
Thank you for caring about the women who often-times don’t matter to society. On behalf of Black Women, we appreciate you.

Addicting!
I’ve been listening to true crime podcasts for over 7 years and just stumbled across these ladies. I’ve been missing out! Great commentary and respectful to the victims and their families. I’ve been binge listening ever since finding these gals!

Disappointing
Lacking research skills, especially about anything scientific.

Thorough and put together well!
Absolutely love this podcast! Great personalities and well investigated facts! The banter is so great! Keep ‘em coming ladies!

Fascinating!
These two are making me laugh and making me uncomfortable at the same time! The episodes are so well researched but it never feels academic; instead it feels like talking to my friends who are giggly geniuses. I love it. Somerton Man is my favorite so far, but also Big Foot and the Hope Diamond and pretty much all of the other episodes are a close second. Please make more!

YESS!!! A+++
These ladies are rocking it. Perfect amount of banter to get the story told. The two of them together make a great team. They do a good job of choosing cases that are unfamiliar and not well known. This makes for an interesting podcast. I like to hear something I’m not already familiar with. The Dark Oak is quickly becoming my new favorite!

Turns around every corner…
I love how they lay out the show and the showmanship of the crazy clue reveal. There is also great banter that makes me laugh with them, without it being a show full of it. It’s a really great listen and I suggest you listen to it! You won’t be sorry…

Great Podcast!
The episodes are well researched and the hosts are great storytellers. I’ve binged all of the episodes and can’t wait for more!

Love this podcast!
I love this podcast! They give the facts of the case in a straightforward way with just enough ‘banter’ that I feel like I’m hanging out with my friends.
They have great chemistry, are respectful of the victims and bring new information that I may not have heard before. I want to hang out at the Dark Oak!!!

My new binge show in the car!
I have already listened to all of the initial episodes. Very well researched and excellently presented. The hosts have great rapport and I really like how they tell the stories!
