In this Veterans Day episode I sit down with the crew behind The Dead Reckoning Collective. They were instrumental in publishing the book In Love & War The Anthology of Poet Warriors. In this episode I sit down and talk with Pete Perry during the 6th Annual Big Country Heli Hog Hunt in Truscott, Texas. We podcast inside an old restored bank that still has the vault inside. During this podcast we discuss transitioning from the military, how to deal with and process trauma, the importance of getting outside in nature, living a minimalist lifestyle, and our time spent together in Helmand Province, Afghanistan with the Marine Raiders.

In this episode Frank and I go for a walk out in nature and have a conversation. We discuss his prior job of being a Combat Controller in the Air Force and what life is like working in Special Operations. We also discuss challenges humans face such as: getting out of your comfort zone, death and dying, and experiencing other cultures.

During the Warrior Games I decided to have long form conversation with fellow special operation brothers who have lived with and found healing from Blast Wave Exposures / TBI. Josh has educated himself significantly on the topic and I learned a lot from him during this conversation.
