Lance and Mason speak with former NHL Superstar Theo Fleury."Theo Fleury is perhaps best known for his time on the ice. But off the rink, his life once carried the markings of a troubled childhood, abuse and coping with emotional pain through addictive and self-destructive behaviours.Today, Theo defines himself as a victor over trauma and addiction, and a facilitator to those still trying to find their way. His best-selling books, Playing with Fire and Conversations with a Rattlesnake, encourage open sharing and provide practical tools that people seeking help can personally use. These tools are also useful to those who want to lead a productive conversation, called “Real Conversations”, with anybody else experiencing trauma."To learn more about Theo, be sure to visit www.theofleury.life

After two episodes with former Aryan Brotherhood leader, Michael Thompson and one with his wife following his most recent arrest, we bring you the final chapter in what has become a true crime saga. We originally interviewed Michael, to tell his story of crime and redemption. A few short months after his interviews with us, he was arrested again on charges of large scale unemployment fraud. From that point on, a lot of what was said in our first two interviews came under fire, people wanted answers and more context to the man they either grew to love or hate. We feel we have done that with our previous episode, in which Mike's wife came on to speak on the criminal charges he is facing. And we believe we are doing that now, as in this episode, we speak to his daughter. Mike's daughter initially reached out to us after our first episode with a warning to us that Mike is not the man he claims to be. She wanted to come on our show immediately after the first episode, but after consulting with her family, she decided it was best she did not come forward publicly. After Mike's arrest and seeing his wife come on our show she reached out again, ready to talk. She came with an arsenal of evidence proving she is Mike's daughter, verified letters from Mike while he was incarcerated and did this interview to be the final puzzle piece in the Mike Thompson saga.It is now up to YOU, the listener to decide if Michael is in fact redeemed, or even a redeemable human. Regardless of how you feel we conduct our interviews, we do not have an opinion either way of Mike being good or bad. After this interview, we will get back to building our platform, without Mike Thompson related content. We hope you enjoy what we have put out and what is to come. With that being said, enjoy the episode, make sure to subscribe and share!

This episode is a special episode that does not follow the typical format of our show. This episode was made in response to the arrest of Michael Thompson. Mike was incarcerated for 45 years and was a former leader of the Aryan Brotherhood, a notorious prison gang. Upon his release, we had the pleasure of forming a friendship with him and he became the subject of two wildly popular interviews with us. Michael's story of redemption inspired a lot of people and of course angered a lot of people. Michael has now found himself back behind bars on serious allegations of EDD fraud. Due to these charges, Mike may spend the rest of his natural life in prison. There have been calls to do an episode regarding his arrest from many of our fans. Instead of us doing an episode by ourselves, we have brought on Michael Thompson's wife, Ariel Tomioka to speak on her side of what happened. The Damage Done Podcast did not make this episode to convince anyone that Mike is guilty or innocent. We asked the questions we felt were important to give more context to the charges against Mike. The opinion of guilt or innocence of Mike is none of our concern here. This was made for you to form your own opinion. Let the chips fall where they may and enjoy and make sure to like, share and subscribe!

John Mbugua returns to The Damage Done Podcast, for a new interview for our Youtube audience. Most of you know John's story from our second episode "From The Graveyard To Glory", which is available on audio only formats! John's story starts with surviving the ethnic cleansing of his tribe in Africa as a young boy. After seeing his family slaughtered in front of him, his father sacrificing, his life so he could escape, he marched for 6 straight months through Africa, finally making it to a refugee camp. His nightmare and tale of survival does not end there. In his own words, it only got worse from that point forward. John ended up surviving the horrors of the refugee camp, came to America to live with a foster family who abused him so badly, he then ran away and ended up homeless on the streets of Los Angeles, Skid Row, to be exact, during the height of the crack epidemic in the 1980's.After dying 3 times, being heavily addicted to crack and PCP, John got sober. Today he is approaching 24 years of sobriety, now works as a Drug and Alcohol counselor and has founded a fantastic non-profit organization helping other addicts and homeless on Skid Row, called A Lamb In The Bush.
