What does an AI hack actually look like?
Yesterday, Australia’s Prime Minister told a news conference in New York that Medicare had been hacked by OpenAI. In June, OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, asked one of its internal AI agents to research Australian health statistics. It hit a locked door on a Medicare website and, instead of turning back, found another way in, hacking the system. It then took OpenAI three months to inform the government, triggering serious questions about whether it should have sounded the alarm sooner. On today’s podcast, we’re going to take a look at this latest incident, what an AI hack actually is and isn’t, and if it’s too late to prevent future incidents. How Australia's weed laws are changing
Right now, it is completely legal to smoke a joint at home if you live in Australia’s capital city. Travel twenty minutes across the border into New South Wales, and you could be looking at a court date.  Across the country, three different governments are moving in three different directions on cannabis, with one easing the rules for patients, one pushing for a public vote on legalisation, and one cracking down harder than ever.  Today we're mapping out exactly where Australia's drug laws stand, and why it all comes down to your postcode.
