First 3 Months at Home (Part 1) - with Dr Billy Garvey
Our final stage! This episode is far less about the nuts and bolts of how to be a parent as Dr Garvey guides us through the mental health side of parenting. Some unbelievably useful tips in here but a huge focus on Post Natal Depression, how to recognise it in both you and your partner as well as where to go for help. Side note: rates are 10% for dads and 20% for mums - far too high. You probably know Dr Garvey from ‘How Other Dads Dad’ hosted by a little known guy called Hamish Blake but he also has his own awesome parenting podcast called ‘Pop Culture Parenting’ where he uses pop culture references to talk through parenting tips. He’s also a genius and winner of the Churchill Fellowship. Look him up @drbillygarvey on IG and you’ll find everything there. 5 stars review please dads!

First Week at Home (Part 1) with Dr Golly
Back to the comfort of home dads. This week, Dr Golly is guiding us through the admittedly intimidating first week at home. For the first time, there’s no medical professionals on call so this podcast will help with all the little things you can do to help settle in. From where to put the baby in the bedroom, to the changes to mum’s brain, it’s a brilliant episode. Plus, there’s heaps of places you can call for help, like the 24/7 maternal child help line or your GP. Dr Golly has so much great stuff as well - a book called ‘Your Baby Doesn’t Come With A Book’, a podcast called ‘The Experts’ and an online sleep program which I loved. Just google Dr Golly and you’ll find all his work! And would love a 5 star review and tell all your pregnant and new parent mates about the show! Cheers

Hospital (part 2) with Matty Fahd - Reflection
You get the gist of how this works now dads. Matty and Adam are remembering their time in hospital with the new member of the family and trying to help you be a bit more useful than they were. Adam also throws his mate under the bus and we hope he’s not divorced since! Best advice comes at the back end of the ep too. Would love a 5 star rating and review if you can spare a few seconds too. Cheers dads

Hospital (Part 1) with Dr Brendan Chan
Alright dads, your baby is here and you’re in the hospital. Dr Brendan Chan is a paediatrician and neonatal doctor who takes us through what to expect when you’re in the room with your brand new family. He tells us who comes in, what to expect, what dads normally do (including how they very weirdly make breakfast…..) and provides a whole heap of advice on how dads can help now their little one has entered the world. Dr Chan works out of the Epworth hospital in Melbourne and can easily be found with a google search. As always - we’d love a 5 star rating and review if you can find the time! and tell your mates!

Labour (Part 2) with Matty Fahd - Reflection
This week we’re reflecting on Labour and the advice given by Dr Nettle in Part 1. We also give a whole bunch of non medical advice we wish we had at the end of the ep (hint: prepare for an ‘agricultural’ smell in the delivery room). It’s a pretty loose time and we felt as useless as tits on a bull during our delivery so hopefully this episode gives you a few tips on what to do in there so you can be of use (without passing out…..) We’d love if you could subscribe, rate 5 stars and review the show too and tell your other dads and partners!

Labour (Part 1) with Dr Jonathan Nettle
Alright Dads, it’s time to hit the labour ward and meet the little alien who is about to change your life! Taking us through what happens during labour is the Doc who is as skilful as he is handsome - Dr Jonathan Nettle. This episode is full of advice for what dads can actually expect to happen during a birth and what they can do while their partner is in labour (hint: bring your pom poms). We cover both caesar and vaginal births and Doc Nettle tells us how dads can help in each case, what they should definitely NOT do (hint: drink some coffee) and also what to do if they are feeling like they might pass out…. It’s a wild time. Dr Nettle works out of Frances Perry Hospital in Melbourne and can easily be found via google. He’s a legend (and as we said, handsome - check out the videos on our socials!) We’d love if you could subscribe, rate 5 stars, review and tell your mates about the pod too.
